This is galago number 2 belonging to @sibaggy Itās found its way back to Corris for a lil reunion.
Itās a really cool build, with a coil converted lyrik up front, a @canecreekusa DB coil with a 75mm stroke in the back. Finished with @hopetech@rideformula brakes, @sqlab bars, @stfubike and I love that top tube protector.
Frame number 1 for comparison outside @idris_stores_corris

Some bike parts are more than just components.
Theyāre personal ideas brought to life.
This project was CNC machined from aluminum alloy with matte anodized finishes in silver and black. Clean surfaces, sharp details, and a design that simply looks beautiful in motion.
Always exciting to help designers and riders turn their concepts into real parts.

This @starlingcycles murmur has seen its share of wet British winters. There was a bit of rust, plenty of chipped paint and a pair of very seized pivot bearings. But a bit of TLC and it feels as good as new.
A size medium with a 450mm reach, it joins the rental fleet, right on the money for the local steep loamers, and not a bad choice for the bike park either.
Hire it from @idris_stores_corris book online, link in bio
I bought another bike⦠this has already spent some time @dyfibikepark and may be familiar to some of you.
What a rocket ship.
Intense M29 circa 2020 size XL. I think the reach is around 480mm so will fit nicely into the rental lineup once Iāve tinkered and given it a once over.
Hire it from @idris_stores_corris (soon)
I don't really like the idea of shimming your bar clamp.
Wouldn't it be better to just make the bar clamp the right size to fit the bar?
The challenge is in making a solid technical argument that all that expensive fatigue and destructive testing still is valid for this new design variant, without having to actually run the whole test again.
I think it can be done. Also (and this is not a robust engineering claim) they look pretty bloody similar... so it passes the common sense test.
If it hasn't clocked yet. A stem for 35mm dia. handlebar is in the works.
James of @creature_cycles blends Bicycle Academy foundations with a lot of self-taught problem solving, in this case resulting in a UK-built full-suspension bike that doesnāt quite follow the usual script.
From the distinctive gusset work and custom hardware to the bold paint and 3D-printed details, thereās a lot going on, in a good way!
@theradavist ās John sure was happy to see his IG find on the show floor in Manchester last year.

The first batch of de-reacher stems has sold out!
A huge thank you to all the early adopters who spent their hard earned cash on essentially a complete unknown. You guys are awesome.
Also a big thank you to @bespoked.cc , @johnprolly , @daniel.schinagl , and everyone else who helped get this off the ground.
Itās looking hopeful that I will be able to shop product to North America some time this summer, add some accessories, and make the stems more affordable, so watch this space.
one trade off of the short stems are that you need a clever way of clamping the headset with screw in the top cap.
im just gonna get loads of screw lengths to fit all headtube lengths. or I guess you could cut along one down!
the top a cap is threaded and has a pip that stops it rotating
with any luck I should have a batch of these kits in soon.
those of you who bought a stem from the first batch will be getting one in the mail for free along with a plain black ali top-cap for conventional starnut mouting.
thanks so much to you folks who took an expensive risk on a weird product. š
Bike designer beta is now live and working on mobile. See link in bio!
Envisioned as a super quick way for frame-builders to sketch out and record bike designs. I can see a number of use cases as functionality grows.
One direction would be to output a fully dimensioned frame drawing, complete with jig set up measurements and mitre lengths. Try the export function⦠itās essentially a lite version of this.
This also could be adapted by framebuilders to be a customer facing tool, to help customers specify and visualise their custom frame.
I dunno, Iām just playing around here.
I made a ābike designerā. It works pretty well for just sketching out bikes to see what the side profile is!
It took 4 ish hours - using only natural language and Claude sonnet 4.6. In python at the moment but will put it up on the website.
The idea was to have a tool that frame-builders can use to collect and record bike geo. It works like a drawing or print in many ways.
Most of the time was spent getting the option to drop the chainstay on the drive side by a variable angle. š„²
Would you use this? What should it do?
