In May 2026, CreativeMornings and Adobe are co-creating the global theme CREATE, a celebration of personal creativity, progress, and possibility. 🤝🎨✨ This marks the first time we have ever worked with a global partner to select a monthly theme. Because at CreativeMornings, we believe everyone is creative—and Adobe couldn’t agree more. Together, we’re bringing you the motivation and accountability you need to bring your ideas to life. The theme was illustrated by Ana Grigorovici @designbench.studio Get inspired with this month’s hashtag: #CMcreate

One more night till our next fabulous CreativeMornings 🤩 Until we can clink our coffee mugs tomorrow, check out the smiles and vibes from our last event, to know that this is the crowd you want to be with! (Yes, we all work on the “convince yourself that you are a morning person” part 😅) Last time , not only the coffee kept us going, but also our fantastic speaker Jose @jfsurbano , teaching us our very first street dance moves on locking and sharing his story of what it meant for him to become LOCAL.

📣 Exciting Announcement for April’s CreativeMornings! 🎉 Join us in welcoming the remarkable duo, Julie Progin & Jesse Mc Lin, as they delve into the theme of EMBER! 🔥✨ Based between Hong Kong and Jingdezhen, Julie & Jesse blur the lines between design, craft, and art. Their innovative approach to porcelain reflects a rich history, transforming remnants into stunning narratives that resonate with a quiet strength. 🌍💫 On the power of embers to linger and reignite: Hong Kong based ceramic artist and designer duo Julie & Jesse explore how the residues of a two-thousand-year-old porcelain industry has fuelled and shaped their creative practice. The duo reflects on ideas, traditions, and precedents that inform their work. Their conversation imparts how shards, the embers of the porcelain industry, have sparked in them the desire to discover narratives hidden within the age-old material and how, through their investigative and experimental approach to ceramic, they transform them to honour the past whilst embracing the future. This is your chance to discover the power of artistic heritage and community connection. 💖🖌️ Date: April 24th, 2026 Time: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM Location: Blueprint, Quarry Bay Don’t miss out! Register now through the link in our bio! 🚀 #CMEMBER @julieandjesse

Check out the lovely pictures from our February event ‎کورسو (KOORSOO) with the incredible Yana Fortep! This event brought something truly special — a room full of creatives, open hearts, and Yana’s incredible ability to weave art, healing, and archetypes into something we could all feel. 🎨💫 She reminded us that the stories we carry within us are more powerful than we think — and that discovering your hidden archetypes might just be the most honest creative act of all. 🪞✨ Thank you, Yana. And thank you to everyone who showed up, leaned in, and made the room what it was. 💛 This is what community looks like — one morning, one story, one room at a time. 🏘️

We are heartbroken to share that our dear friend, Mark Swinkels, passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2026. He died from Rapid Onset Pulmonary Edema while snorkeling on vacation with his wife, Kate, on Norfolk Island. Whether you knew him as the inspiring leader of Creative Mornings Hong Kong, a fierce lacrosse champion from his native Netherlands, the charismatic bass player in a Doors cover band, or the legendary quiz master who lit up the room, you knew Mark’s infectious energy. In his eight years in Hong Kong, he built more than a network; he built a family through paddling, facilitating, and simply being the life of every party. Mark lived with a playful energy, endless curiosity, and a deep love for live music, craft beer, and bringing people together. His greatest talent was connection. His spirit lives on in the community he so lovingly built, in his true love, Kate—and in the hearts of his family and friends across the world In that spirit, we will celebrate him and the beautiful life he lived. We invite you to SwinksFest 2026 on his birthday, May 1st. Let’s gather to remember our friend with an unforgettable day of good people, good music, and good beers—just as he would have wanted. April’s global theme is EMBER. It was chosen by our Poulsbo chapter in Washington @cmpoulsbo and illustrated by Sarah Gordon @sarahgordondesign . Our Poulsbo chapter had this to say about the significance of this month's theme: “Embers represent the quiet, enduring remnants of fire—what remains after the intensity fades. They carry a smoldering potential, a subtle strength that holds heat long after the flames have gone." What ember is quietly glowing inside you? And what new fire will it ignite in your life? Make your feed glow a bit brighter with this months hashtag: #CMember

🕺 Get ready for this month’s CreativeMornings talk — and our incredible speaker! Join us in welcoming Jose Urbano on stage — competitive street dancer, locking specialist, and proud member of The Quickies! With 13 years on the floor and stages ranging from local studios to international battles, Jose has built something rare: a home in movement. 🌍✨ This month’s theme is LOCAL and Jose’s story hits different. Growing up Hong Kong-born Filipino, he found his way into the city’s culture not through language — but through dance. 🔓💛 He’ll take us through the battles, the breakthroughs, and what it really means to belong somewhere — and how your roots quietly shape everything you create. How does where you’re from live in the way you move? 🏘️🎶 Sign up via link in bio. @jfsurbano #cmlocal
