AANHPI Heritage Month, North Shore-style.
Lucky Knot Arts (
@luckyknotarts ) brought the third annual AANHPI Mini Market to Couch Dog Brewing (
@couchdogbrewing ) and Punto Urban Art Museum (
@urban.art.museum ) today—and the whole block showed up.
Wah May Lion Dance (
@wahmayld ) thundered through the neighborhood. HOMECOMING — Lucky Knot's group exhibition of Asian American artists — held court at Proyectos Punto. Valinda Chan (
@itsvalindachan ) of Our Cantonese Stories led zine-making. Cinda's Crafts (
@cindascrafts ) had folks designing earrings. Cuộc Đời Prints (
@cuocdoiprints ) and Towka (
@towkaseisei ) brought beautiful handmade work. Koto Asian Fusion (
@kotosalemma ) fed the room.
And here's the thing—Couch Dog, Punto, and Koto aren't just incredible spaces. They're CC members. The kind of members who say YES when their community needs somewhere to gather, celebrate heritage, and show up for each other.
That's what an ecosystem does. Real People, Real Businesses, Real Community!
Thank you,
@luckyknotarts , for inviting us into something this beautiful.
Having one of those "How come i didn't know this was happening" moments? We have a VERY robust events calendar on our website and feature events like this all the time!
