This week, global leaders gathered in Copenhagen for the 17th edition of the Global Fashion Summit hosted by @globalfashionagenda — the world’s leading forum for sustainability in fashion ♻️👗
This year’s theme, Building Resilient Futures, captured an industry at a turning point. Conversations focused not on whether fashion needs to change, but on how to make sustainable transformation scalable, financially viable and lasting.
Federica Marchionni, CEO of Global Fashion Agenda, called on fashion leaders to rethink global value chains. She urged the industry to invest in product integrity over excess, build true circular infrastructure and ensure AI enhances, rather than replaces, human potential.
She remarked that the path forward demands courage, collaboration and capital directed where it truly matters.
The future of fashion is being built now, and Denmark continues to help shape the conversation 🩷

What if discarded fishing nets could become timeless furniture design? 🐟🎣🪑
@wehlersdesign shows how circular thinking can transform waste into lasting value. The R.U.M. Chair is made from recycled fishing nets and maritime plastic waste — turning discarded materials into functional furniture with a low carbon footprint.
Designed to be repaired, reused and recycled, the chair reflects a smarter approach to production where materials keep their value for longer.
A strong example of how Danish design combines sustainability, innovation and aesthetics in one solution.
Craft can do more than create beautiful objects — it can create opportunity, connection and meaningful impact 🍒🌎
Co-founded in Guatemala and Denmark, @purautz is built on the belief that caring craftsmanship can empower women, preserve skills and bring people closer together across cultures.
Through colourful handmade jewellery, the brand unites Danish design values with Guatemalan craftsmanship and strong social purpose.
A reminder that when design is created with care, it can strengthen communities and celebrate human potential.
