it’s been a year now without my little man. it’s hard to put into words how much i still love and miss him; he was the reason i loved going home to my tiny studio apartment every night. shrek got me through a lot, and i can only hope i helped make the last year of his life a kind and soft one.
if i can be a little mushy here, i have a lot of songs that remind me of him - my heart is buried in venice by ricky montgomery is one of them. shrek was my heart, and it makes me think he’s still out there, waiting for me somewhere to find him again.
i love him a lot, and i want to thank everyone who knew and loved him too. he was a happy lil cat, im sure.🩵
