Honestly I cant believe what we pulled off. With the help of our family and friends, they REALLY pulled it together for us especially the day of!!! And our awesome vendors gave our guests a great experience 🎉
This was our super bowl. It was an intense year of planning and work. And it was amazing to have these memories right in our backyard.
We had crazy wind the morning of the wedding and lost decor, had to do away with table settings. Flowers were blowing everywhere. But no one noticed all these things that were "missing". Its inevitable that things will go wrong. Our friends, family and vendors sprung into action to make it all work and we are so grateful for them ❤️❤️❤️
Its easy to get lost in aiming for polish and perfection when planning a wedding, but try to bring the focus back to what the day truly is about. Its not going to be the decor you remember 👰♀🤵

Under 6 months till our wedding!!!
We started getting our home prepped last summer. Now that the weather is warming up again, it's back to work! ☀️
Having a wedding at your home requires A LOT of planning.
No one's organizing or scheduling for us, or advising us. We're having to think of all of the details, how the day will flow and what everything will look like in that season.
From making sure the grounds are walkable, the plants are blooming at the right time 🌸🌱, the space is large enough, where there needs to be electrical🔌, where everyone will park 🚗....it's a lot.
Thankfully Dan is a master planner and the best problem solver. 💡 The schedule of the actual wedding day has been on my mind everyday for the last couple of months. We keep finding new things to think about, new projects to add in. It's going to be a BUSY season!!!! 👏👏👏👏❤️
ONE YEAR!!!!!!! Today marks the one year anniversary of when we started this addition.
I cant believe how much we accomplished considering we did this on our free weekends.
So far weve enjoyed a few birthdays and holidays in this new dining space and its been so special to be able to!!
I always say it, but yes we have more to do.

Were officially stepping into the unknown and trusting that things will work themselves out. What a scary thing, but I am trying to find the excitement in that!
Im super grateful to have found a really supportive partner, this would not be possible without him right now.
Its important to me that before I start the next thing, im all in and in a good head space for it. We spend so many hours at work, i think its critical to really enjoy it and constantly be learning. Otherwise, we get stale and end up on autopilot. Life is too short for that!!!

As we wait for spring weather I need some pops of color in our house ☀️🌸 so im creating some Easter art that will match all the eggs Im decorating with.
I should be spending time catching up on things in the house so Im keeping this painting quick and simple, other than drying time this is about a 20 min painting. 🎨🖌 Its not about perfection, im really not a good painter!! But things like abstract flowers I can handle!
