Our practice is holistic, AI-integrated, and hands-on. We create long-lasting digital experiences that lean on story, utility, and meaning in aesthetics.
Strategy, brand, product, AI/R&D, or everything.
A project from last year coming into the fray of social media. Presenting Hiro! A tool for engineers to write and deploy smart contracts directly from their browser.
We worked closely with the Hiro team throughout, extending Porto Rocha’s sharp brand identity into the deep waters of product design.
Our case studies shows the scene of a cool-toned world from a hacker hero’s screen.
Can we deliver a pizza in under 20 minutes? Perhaps not. But can we spin up an NFT marketplace in 5? Hell yeah.
We’re partners, not vendors. MAD is an ecosystem of close collaboration and shared ownership.
That’s the thought behind creating an ecosystem map rather than showing traditional credits to our site’s case studies 🕸️
Big gratitude to those who supported, spread, and connected with us after launching our new site. We’re excited to share our process & progress with you on the new iteration of MAD. Stay tuned to see what we have in store 👻
Eight years in. New website, same essence.
We’ve spent the last 18 months rethinking how we work, what we stand for, and what we want to build next. The result is sharper, more honest, more us.
A creative studio where systems-thinking meets artistry.

”At its core, embodied strategy understands that connections are fundamental to any form of success. The links to your own body, intentions, and surroundings are just as important to your human collaborators, co-workers, colleagues, or clients. These inner and outer interactions are mirrors of one another.”
— An excerpt from a MAD Whitebook
This spring, we hosted a soft launch as the beginning of MAD’s Neue Welt. This event’s theme was a “Squad Wealth dinner,” and our first attempt to a multi-player creative ecosystem (inspired by Other Internet and @metalabel__ ) as a practice of embodied strategy. Over foraged nourishment and fresh produce, networks connected and propagated conversations that arose from a year-long vision coming into fruition.
Last week, we world-ed and celebrated a moment of finally coming full circle in our hero’s journey, landing in community with our Kreuzberg Kin.

For the past year, MAD has been quietly evolving and working on an internal rebrand, from the inside out. Along the way, we noticed most traditional strategy methods didn’t apply to how we wanted to grow, which led us to develop our own strategic process, called Embodied Strategy.
“Embodied strategy is...not an alternative to manifesting an ideal world, but a first attempt at a soft reform. It is a call-to-imagine new ways of being in a resilient over a utopian future, where sensation, awareness, and responsibility are the first steps towards progress.” —An excerpt from a MAD Whitebook
Rooted in principles such as worldbuilding, applied ecology, and embodiment, The Whitebook was created for imagining A Neue Welt(TM) using a strategic process backed by genuine values, rather than engineered for the glamour of an attention-based economy. It consolidates a year’s worth of experimentation, research, and discovery into part whitepaper and part workbook.
We’ll be releasing an abridged PDF version soon. If you feel called to collaborate on this project further together, our DMs are open.
A space that feels like us.
Our Berlin-Kreuzberg studio got a thoughtful update in collaboration with @loehrfurniture . Together, we shaped a workspace that’s not just functional, but an embodiment of how we think, work, and collaborate.
Every detail, from layout and lighting to acoustics, materials, and colour, was designed to support focus, flow, and connection.
For us, it’s more than just a studio. It’s MAD in physical form.
