Hear her play this extraordinary historical instrument this Sunday at 7pm on WCRB! More info at classical.org/inconcert … or reply with 🖼️ and we’ll dm you a direct link (make sure your account is public and your DMs are open!)
In 1903, Isabella Stewart Gardner received this 18th Century viola d’amore as a gift from her friend, composer Charles Loeffler, to celebrate the opening of her museum. You can see it on display in the Yellow Room - and on April 12, 2026, you can hear Rachel Barton Pine play it on WCRB In Concert! We took a trip to the Museum to learn more about this amazing instrument.
