Last Thursday and Friday I painted a dumpster for the Murphy-Scott building down in Fair Oaks Village. I was asked by @ovfo_arts if I was interested in this project as part of Sacramento’s day of giving events. I jumped on the opportunity.
This realm of public art is somewhat new to me and I absolutely love it. I want to thank everyone who stopped by while I was painting to chat with me. It meant a lot to me to see everyone genuinely happy that I was adding art to the village and especially on such a mundane everyday object that we don’t typically look at this way. It was a challenge for me to bust this out in such a short time frame but I think I did a decent job. Executed with spray paint and enamel.

The chili kraken in the flyer I drew was directly inspired by my daughter’s obsession with all things Kraken. She’s kinda shifted her attention towards snakes recently so we’ll see what next years brings. Been thinking about making this classic phrase as a sign for a while and had to add in the play on words. Aged to perfection with the classic CREEP POOTINA technique (thanks @tahoe_vinnie for coining the term).
This guy is 7.5” x 23.25” in size painted in MDO panel painted with enamel.

“Old Friend”
New Testament pocket bible cover, ink, acrylic, enamel , nails and wood
10 1/2” x 12 5/8” framed
This was a fun one that just kinda happened perfectly. I found this little pocket bible in one of those free libraries in the front yard of a house in my neighborhood.
The inside of the cover feels like really soft leather and also looks leathery as I would imagine the devil’s skin would look like. I just had to try and draw on this and you know what it turned out fucking killer.
Without giving too much away and letting you have your own experience with this piece it’s a kind of Ying and Yang piece. You can’t have one without the other right?
Anyhoot, I hope y’all are enjoying this perfect weather we’ve been having in Sacramento. Keep yer eyes peeled and that head on a swivel.

Hey guys here’s the painting I made for “The year of the Horse Show” @shanghaitattoo916 In Folsom this past Saturday.
Title of this piece is, “Sinning was the big thing, Lord and Satan was the star.”
24” x 24” on mdo wood panel done with acrylic and airbrush. I had a blast painting this!
This is my version of the Pharaoh’s horses classic tattoo design based off british painter, John Frederick Herring Sr. (1795-1865) painting called “Pharaoh’s Horses” from 1870.
