But what Cranes was doesn’t end here.

Chef Pepe Moncayo is now leading the kitchen at Bully Spanish Steakhouse in Washington, DC-bringing a more direct, Spanish-driven expression of his cooking, while holding onto the same intent: precision, thoughtfulness, and genuine hospitality.

We’ll gather for Bullet Train—a sharp, fast-paced action comedy about five assassins on a high-speed train whose missions collide in unexpected ways. Witty, stylish, and packed with momentum, it’s the perfect winter watch.

On Wednesdays from 4–8 PM, Cranes runs their Pim Pam Pum menu and everything’s made to order. You can bounce between vegetarian miso ramen, Japanese curry udon, karaage chicken, pork ribs, tempura shrimp, the wagyu burger, and finish with churros or basque cheesecake.
The whole table has to be in, and you’ve got two hours, but it’s an easy way to step out of the city and settle into great comfort food.

Introducing @tacotacodc by Cranes, a limited-time daytime pop-up led by Executive @chefpepemoncayo , transforming our dining room into a high-energy taqueria by day—before returning to our signature Japanese-Spanish experience each evening.
Taco Taco is not a departure from Cranes, but a deeper expression of it. The menu reflects how Chef Moncayo cooks today: grounded in Japanese technique and Spanish structure, with Latin flavors showing up boldly and without apology.
