So that was Saturday then! The Black Dragon Challenge done - Endurance Route. Seeing a lot of gorgeous Welsh countryside and all for a good cause. Good day and weather was very kind - not too hot, not too cold!!

Lovely Sunday stroll around Barbury Castle. Thought I would start to thin out some of the walking boots I seem to have accrued over the years so I took a barely used pair of boots out that I had had for quite a while to see if they are worth keeping. Hydrolysis told me that they probably weren’t worth keeping hold of!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

A great way to finish a year of very mixed emotions. A final dash up to North Wales with @timkington to have a little wander up part of the Nantlle Ridge route. Coming in from the east end we hit the scramble in the dark with head torches - slightly sketchy for the odd moment on icy rocks but great fun. Found a great pitch just after midnight and by 1am we had navy proof rum (courtesy of the boys in Poole), margaritas in a can and some warm food. Bitterly cold but no wind and a sky fulls of stars. Great night!! Back next year for more!!
