Hiiiiiii! My first solo EP is out now in the world and I am incredibly excited/anxious/shy to be finally making this post!!! You can listen to it now for free on virtually any streaming platform!! Please make today extra special for me by finding nine minutes to check it out and let me know what you think. Show your friends too if they are close by! 😌 It's called "Introducing JMS" and contains three songs from within that secret place where I process difficult feelings and most importantly how it feels to be alive. Yes, music is that deep for me, haha. I really hope you like it! Or, at the very least, that the songs generate some sort of emotional reaction from you. Lots of love/thought/time/care went into this and I can't believe it's finally OUT! :) Launching a solo career takes soooo many people and I am eternally grateful to every one of the following for participating in this project in various capacities! Thank you so much for 10 000 streams of "Damn Good Host" on @spotify ! A little over a year ago I released this song, which turned out to be the last one I recorded with my band at the time. It was the first I released truly as myself, with my full name. My life was changing fast and I felt like it would be dishonest for me to keep using a fake name. It was time for me to embrace my full name which I never really liked too much and just be myself. Besides people were confused and thought Booster Fawn was a band name and not my "nature worshipping shaman in the city" name I had given myself in a marijuana induced enlightenment high in a cherry tree at 5am sunrise in 2016 Okanagan Valley, BC. 😅 I'm very glad of the fact that DGH has touched so many people and it's always nice to hear when someone tells me they've had it on repeat in their playlist or always listen to it at a special moment of their day. Like on the bus to school for example, which is where I did some of the best music listening of my life. I basically started playing music for this precise reason, to create a soundtrack for people's lives the same way others made soundtracks for me when I was a lost and confused and tormented teen. So thanks. I'm surprised at the reach this song has had, considering I've only had the one song it was hard to keep promoting it every day across many different platforms but I'm glad I did. Some people discovered it on the 300th post I made about it, which is a sign that there is no end to online promotion. There are so many listeners out there and so much good music to choose from I am honoured and feel blessed that some of you found me and we were able to share something special together with this song. I made it for me, but I also made it for you, if that makes sense. :) This is a video of a performance of the song at the launch party, on March 14th 2025 at Casa del Popolo in Montreal. It's available in full on YouTube. It's finally time to stop promoting Damn Good Host and to start looking towards the future. I have a 12-song album completed that is itching to get out and to start growing in the world. I am very excited to share it with you. Thanks again!!

Today marks 5 years of continuous sobriety from drugs and alcohol for me. Before that, since I started experimenting with substances at the age of 16, there had been rarely a day when I didn't use. This is quite the miracle and I must say that every single aspect of my life is better because of it. I didn't smoke weed and drink alcohol responsibly, I never did, and if someone can do that, good for them. I did it because there was a hole inside of me that couldn't be filled. And no amount was enough to fill that hole often resulting in embarrassing and ridiculous situations. Blackouts, drunk calls, spending all my money, forgetting appointments, miserable living conditions, ect... Now, having found a much better way to fill that hole, my life has completely turned around for the best. There is hope every morning where before there was dread. I thought I had to smoke weed and drink booze to be creative and process my feelings. I thought it was self-medicating for living in an unfair world that always kept me down. I thought I did it because of my childhood. As it turns out I don't need it to be an artist and in 95% of situations I was the only one keeping me down. Funny how that worked out. I'm only saying this because if you too are sick and tired of being sick and tired and you can't see a way out, I'm here to tell you what worked for me. Hit me up. :) Life is amazing without hangovers and a bit of extra money and that's just the beginning!

My Eurotrip was amazing!! I met so many incredible people, performed over 30 times in 6 different cities and 4 countries, wrote 20 songs (not all good but some which I am sure are very good :p), over 100 poems, and saw sights I had been waiting to see my whole life. I have returned a changed man and, I hope, a better entertainer for what is to come. Cheers, JMS xo
