thnx to @jjjjjjjjjjjjjrrrrrrrrr for making the video + full concept from some napkin ramblings. when the song is near 8 mins with no conventional harmonic structure it's vv tall order
song was written early 2020. never played it live till maybe 2022 for obvious reasons
i like the end where the "cold" + harsh percussive elements speed up and dissociate from the "warm" harmonic elements, which stay at a steady pace as everything changes + accelerates around them
hiya just about last years Plastic Cowboy Builder releases there are real tape version now i just kept them offline
WINDOWS was just me (kieron) and no band but this album had to exist, even tho it sounds nothing like COLD
BRAINS GUYS w/ The Fish was a co-release with Paragka @thisisparagka + PX4M in Athens, and we managed to play a couple songs live at the Bamya reunion at the start of March for the GLARCIVERSARY since there was so much crossover personnel
but between the bamya reunion + the oto + show + ireland tour we sold a whole bunch. now theres only 4 & 3 respectfully. but only made 25 of each so not crazy numbers to begin with. if they sell out keep on asking and ill make another 25.

Out today - the new album from Cowboy Builder - COLD. Somewhere between Kurt Weill, Drainolith and Augustus Pablo, Cowboy Builder's signature wok clang and clatter has gotten slower and steadier over the years; more decayed and more delayed. COLD is bleak, industrial music for a time where ‘industry’ is working nightshifts for Amazon and drinking Lidl box wine. It seems to swerve nihilism and its hauntological cousins though, instead favouring relentless endurance, an embrace of disintegration and the joy of making tunes together. Listen on the link in bio.
It's been a total pleasure working this one out with the gang. The CDs arrived yesterday and super chuffed with them - 6 panels with a booklet and all. Kieron's amp trolley fell apart on the way, but the band are set to play Cafe OTO tomorrow night (Saturday 4th April), alongside pals Handle and <3 Less Than Three, and Aiden is gonna play some records afterwards too. Very happy to say Cowboy Builder's new album COLD will land on bison early April. A long time in the making, COLD contains songs from some of the earliest days of the Builders, worked out in The Shunk I, filed through The Musty Shed and put down in The Shunk II.
To celebrate, Manchester legends @handle.mcr and London's @lessthan3____ will make a triple-header bill at OTO on the 4th April, and the show is free for members. Tickets in the bio ⛓️

A whole lot of music coming to Daylight on Friday the 27th of February.
@cowboy.builder are a couple of oddballs all the way from Edinburgh and this is part one of their two part tour of Ireland with @sleetwalls who's a recent addition to the Dublin experimental noise/music scene.
They'll be joined on the night by @beatupface and @vsevolod_plotkin
It's €10 on the door, or only €5 if you're already a member. Doors are at 8, music goes til late, and it's BYOB but go easy on the glass.

Vava Maudit are from Zurich, Switzerland and internet research found a bio that said they started in 2022, but who knows if that's true. It's going to be a duo with various winds against various drums. They are going to do some things on on the flutes + traps you probably never knew were possible, and some things you had always hoped were possible.

it's plastic cowboy builder because it's just me, kieron. it doesn't have a lot to do with the simple interlocking percussive music that cowboy builder has been doing for the past few years as a group
might do tapes but that's a next year thing, just trying to relax rn
@supernormalfestival appreciation post from few months back thanks to all involved in playing + building + stressing
its good to see so many bands who are in the middle of or are yet to put out their best stuff. you feel very present. that doesn't always happen even at good festivals
@hipstargasm sent a nice video so stuck it on the utube
it was really important to play these songs again cus its going to be our next thing out. i think the album has a title now and it will be around 55mins long

everything went wrong making this mini album and most tracks were recorded with a burnt pus filled finger
