The US has sanctioned UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, 8 ICC judges, 3 court officials, and Palestinian human rights organisations Al-Haq, Al Mezan, and PCHR. The message is chilling: investigate genocide, speak up for international law, and we will destroy your life. Under Executive Order 14203, anyone collaborating with the International Criminal Court becomes a target.

A successful trip across European Institutions, launching @courage_int ’s campaign against the unlawful US sanctions on advocates of international justice.
📍 At the Council of Europe and European Parliament, holding fruitful meetings with National and European MPs on what can be done against attacks on human rights defenders.
📍 At ISS in The Hague, together with @amnesty , sanctioned ICC Judge Bossa, and the directors of the three sanctioned Palestinian NGOs, @al_haq_organization@pchrgaza@almezancenter , for the launch of the @coalitionfortheiccreport “Criminalising Accountability: The US Lawfare Against the International Justice System,” documenting the davastating impact of US sanctions on the international justice system.
During the trip, I was glad to also participate in Ammesty Belgium General Assembly and the Global Sumud Parliamentary Congress, discussing what the global anti-apartheid movement could do at this historical crossroad.
