⛓️Trader Announcements⛓️ Devour Couture @devour_couture fabricates belts, harnesses, bags and other accessories with a classic gothic romantic style thrown together with industrial, brutal and cyber influences. Weaving the darkest of blacks and the bloodiest of reds to compose individual striking pieces for the wardrobe belonging to the weird, wonderful and whimsical. Hex Worm Born to be a rag-and-bone man, forced to be some kind of clown, @hex.worm is a metalworker and illustrator selling a variety of charms and talismans, as well as printed artworks that have been described as “creepy” and “horrible”. They have many goods on offer for lovers of bugs, chains, oysters, devils, transsexualism, and tiny clusters of holes. Greebo @greebo_zine is a Nottingham-based queer/trans-run and alternative zine. They platform emerging creatives, artists, musicians and poets and write articles about queer culture and history. Common themes include: LGBTQ+, music, art, poetry, DIY, mental health, disability, neurodiversity, pop culture, subcultures, history. There are currently six (soon to be seven!) issues with different themes. Count D.Ranged He’s back! I was really honoured to perform at the FairyTale February @upsidedowncabaret after 2 years and seeing how much it’s grown and the amazing community around it. I’ve been so in my head around my art and my drag lately and really struggled with confidence within myself and getting myself out there, even though I’ve come a long way it’s just been so difficult to keep going, but going on that stage and hearing my friends cheering loud for me and having such a good response from the audience, having the opportunity to showcase two of my favourite costumes: the rose devil/fae look alongside my nemesis/friend Derrick(who was puppeteer-ed by my dear friend adam who did his own debut performance as @carlosthephoenix that evening!) then my merman look, which was a look I made years ago but has barely seen the stage, and I gave it a big upgrade lately and did a somewhat vulnerable performance about the little ‘merman’ who learns to use his voice after losing it. It was truly a really amazing night… Please if you can, keep coming to the Upside Down Cabaret, and other places like it because these spaces are so important, and as a show organiser myself, I know they’re not easy to put together, there’s so much thankless behind the scenes work. These spaces are so invaluable for artists like me, for the in-house artists to have a regular space to express themselves, for debut artists to get themselves out there, and for the audience who come together and enjoy grassroots independent art, especially with everything that’s happening in the world it’s so important to keep these places thriving. Alright.. long rambl-y post over 😅 there was a lot of emotions around this one and I want to see spaces like this thrive I feel STRONGLY about i so I will ramble about it! anyways thank you @micah__knight @joey_s_quire @an.actual.unicorn and @pyraxmania for sending me these shots! and thanks again to the Upside Down Cabaret for having me #dragking #altdrag #upsidedowncabaret
