2012 and back on @bandcamp I was walking around with a pram with a baby that is a teenager now. This is esoteric club music, not the café-soundtrack you would expect from someone in that situation. The sleeve was made with an IR-camera by @espenfriberg to simulate an aura photography. There's almost no vocals but on a track that has I got @yatosiba as an extra singer. There is also a sample from the ominous music of Svarte Greiner of @miasmah to spook up the atmosphere.
There are two tracks on here I think is a bit special Azeri skip and Bulgarian Skip that were made from accidental skips on two records fed into a sampler.
2012 was the year the world was supposed to end because of the maya calendar running out. Maybe it did and we now live in some kind of limbo?

2010! Keep uploading to Bandcamp maybe more to understand my own past than to promote the music? Levitating Disk is all the tracks from between 98-09 that didn't fit on albums because the were too pop. C.O.U. was more like a band then with Sigurd (drums), Sara (vocals, synth) and Emil (synth bass) especially live. The discs on the sleeve is from an Amiga 500 and designer Aslak photoshopped away the text on them(!) There is also a nice poster from @espenfriberg inside the sleeve!

Jørgen «Sissyfus» Skjulstad aka Center of the Universe har vært en urokråke (med positivt fortegn) i norsk musikkliv i snart tre tiår. Med over tyve album på baken, utallige samarbeidsprosjekter, og ikke minst som leder av plateselskapet, nei forresten, foreningen Metronomicon Audio er han og selskapet en herlig ukommersiell motvekt i stadig mer strømlinjeformet musikkbransje. Det som startet med salg ut av baggen av hjemmebrente CDer, utviklet seg til plateselskapet Metronomicon Audio, som med sitt mangeårige tilholdssted på Grunlerløkka Lufthavn / Mir nesten er blitt synonymt med den alternative musikk-scenen fra bydelen.
Som musiker har Jørgen alltid vært influert av det østlige, av folkemusikk og ikke vestlige toneskalaer. Fra sin spede begynnelse på Skjetten har han samarbeidet med musikanter fra Midtøsten, og folketonene går som en rød tråd gjennom kunstnerskapet. Være seg akkompagnert av hektiske braindance-rytmer, skranglete lo-fi indie-rock eller deilig seig snegle-house. Gjerne toppet med favoritt instrumentet, klarinett og en egen evne til å skru og manipulere uante skalaer og lyder fra sine elektroniske duppeditter.
Det skulle en norsk folkemusikkbølge til for å virkelig sette Jørgen på kartet. Med sine 2 samarbeidsalbum med folkemusikeren Kenneth Lien har Center of the Univers blitt en sentral brikke i utviklingen av vår nasjonale musikkarv. Ikke bare var de nominert til Spellemannprisen for det fremragende albumet «Norwegian Electronic Folk Music», Jørgen er også resident DJ på den nå legendariske klubbkvelden Tuvas Blodklubb og reiser land og strand rundt på Folkemusikkfestivaler og arrangement.
