Thanks to Geoscience Research Engineer and trombone player Dillon Buhl for participating in our programs over the years !! Here he is showing one of our old @nmassfest shirts to the Thwaites Glacier a few months ago!
The Thwaites Glacier is a massive, highly unstable ice mass in West Antarctica roughly the size of Florida or Britain. It is losing 88 billion tons of ice annually, contributing significantly to global sea-level rise, and threatens a further ~65 cm (over 2 feet) increase if it completely collapses. đ±

âAccretion which began with the cover art, a score based on a cellular automata simulation. This score is interpreted for digital piano and synthesizer that translates sonically to notes accumulating in density filling the sonic field; the cacophony allows for observation of resulting patterns and evolving structures. Where entropy seems dominant, order unfolds. Harmony and dissonance are not antagonists but complimentary.

Hey! hereâs some more information about artists presenting this coming Saturday at Cloud Tree Studio !
nudo is a psychic handshake/brain trust between Joaquin Tenorio and Eric Hernandez. Hailing from Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, MX and Eagle Pass, Texas, USA, respectively. The pair met while living in Austin, TX and have been making music together since 2017. Throughout this time, their sound has journeyed from something like an improvised industrial, to more aleatoric collage passages, and is currently honing in on a more song based, corrido oriented zone, however pried apart. Theyâve integrated bassist Alonso Camacho to round out their sound and are working on their 3rd full length LP.
Thanks so much to @nudotxmx for visiting us this weekend!
