We are open for multidisciplinary residencies in 2026, from March to November.
We welcome visual and textile artists, writers, musicians, and researchers for a minimum period of 4 weeks.
Our program, running since 2016 in the peaceful town of Arraiolos, Portugal, offers an environment to focus on work, build new connections, learn new skills and explore the Alentejo region together with a group of artists from Portugal and beyond.

Com um espaço dedicado e vários momentos ao longo da programação da feira, mostramos como a RPAC se distribui pelo território nacional, divulgando a arte contemporânea portuguesa, os seus artistas, coleções e equipamentos, e informando visitantes sobre os diferentes mecanismos criados para a dinamização desta rede: adesão, apoio a projetos, internacionalização, formação e divulgação.De 28 a 31 de maio, na Cordoaria Nacional, contamos com a vossa presença!

Dia 7 de maio, às 18h, na Praça 1º Maio, em Évora, com Vagar vamos conhecer projetos da programação de Évora_27 que estão a redefinir o território como matéria.
Do mármore transformado em escultura no Centro de Arte João Cutileiro (Évora), à argila que dá corpo a instalações artísticas pela Terracronia (Montemor-o-Novo), até ao têxtil que será a matéria-prima da Hypertextile (Arraiolos) para uma bienal de arte têxtil.
Participam deste encontro João Rolaça (Terracronia); Diogo Caetano (Centro de Arte João Cutileiro); Mercedes Vidal-Abarca (Hypertextile).
Juntos estamos a escrever e desenhar Évora_27 — Capital Europeia da Cultura.

Contemporary Art and Territory — want to be part of this conversation?
On May 7 at 6:00 PM, at Praça 1º de Maio in Évora, with Vagar, we will get to know projects from the Évora_27 program that are redefining territory as a material.
From marble transformed into sculpture at the João Cutileiro Art Center (Évora), to clay that gives form to artistic installations through Terracronia (Montemor-o-Novo), to textiles that will be the raw material for Hypertextile (Arraiolos) in a textile art biennial.
Taking part in this À Mesa: João Rolaça (Terracronia); Diogo Caetano (João Cutileiro Art Center); Mercedes Vidal-Abarca (Hypertextile).
Together, we are writing and shaping Évora_27 — European Capital of Culture.

WORKSHOP JAPANESE BOOKBINDING
In this workshop we will learn the fundamentals of hand bookbinding through the construction of a book using Japanese stab binding, exploring work with paper, its structure, and the architecture behind book construction.

Estamos abertos a propostas de oficinas para integrar a nossa programação. Procuramos artistas, arquitetos, designers, artesãos e investigadores que queiram propor oficinas ligadas à criação, experimentação e saberes da sua prática.
Cada oficina deve propor um processo de aprendizagem claro e um resultado concreto, explorando temas ligados à arte, ao património e às práticas contemporâneas e tradicionais.
Informações práticas
As oficinas são realizadas nas instalações do Córtex Frontal, em Arraiolos, Alentejo.
A oficina tem lugar num sábado ou num domingo e podem ter a duração de:meio dia (3-4 horas de formação) ou de um dia (6-7 horas de formação)

WORKSHOP TUFTING
In this workshop we will learn the entire process of creating a tufted rug using the cut-pile technique: from using the tufting gun and choosing or creating a design, to tufting, latex application, and final finishing of the piece.
