Rendered in silk, her pieces enter a material long associated with houses like Hermès, Gucci, and Prada. “Making Filipino identity a little bit luxurious,” she says.
The artist approaches it with clarity of intent, placing Filipino narratives within that same register. What emerges is a language of dress that allows our identity to show up for itself.
