Playing around with pattern ideas, then painting one onto a papier-mâché tray.
The tray is made using the same steps I teach in my @Creativebug class, and the pattern is inspired by some 1794 designs I completely fell for at the V&A (I wrote about them on Substack a couple weeks ago).

Sweet Caroline Bewitched After Midnight! Yes, that is the name in its entirety for this sweet potato vine that I recreated with paper. This variety is one of the paper plants we will be making in a few short weeks at @snowfarmcraft school! There are a couple of spots left if you'd like to join us! #papermade #craftcamp #papergarden This plant's leaves start off as light green in spring, turning dark brown and purple with tinges of black throughout the season. But, of course, the paper version had to be all dark, moody, eggplanty purple.
