On this Throwback Thursday, I have a message to all the Dreamers Out there.
Don’t let anyone make your dreams smaller because they don’t see your vision. It wasn’t meant for everyone to understand. Just You & God.
The First Video was the very first Black Excellence inside of Club Element. When the idea was thought of to make people dress up in suits and go to a Black Tie Gala, not a lot of people thought it was possible. They said no one would dress up. Especially the guys. They said no one wants to spend money to wear a suit or dress once. I didn’t let the noise stop me and still pushed forward.
I always say in order to get to that next level you have to surround yourself around the life you want to live and the people who inspired you. At that time @obiethepromoter was an icon in nyc. So I used to hit him up all the time. I think i was actually annoying. lol. I was in awe with the way he handled his events. I explained to him my theme and he was on board. Long story short i hired him and the legendary MR CEE and they crushed it. From that night, the legacy was born.
The next clip is what Black Excellence has become. Im very proud of the way people treat this event. It’s bigger than a party. It’s a feeling. Multiple engagements. Multiple relationships. Multiple jobs. All from one idea.
So when someone says i don’t think this will work. PROVE THEM WRONG !!!!!!

When my brother @bkmoejulez called to help a young king prepare for his first internship, there was no hesitation. This is what it’s about.
Because you become what you see And our youth deserve to see confidence, leadership, and true Black excellence up close.
It was an honor to speak life into him and to remind him that he belongs in every room he walks into, and to carry himself like it.

Join us on Saturday, May 9th at The Brooklyn Bank for an unforgettable prom prep experience designed just for graduating seniors.
We’ve got you covered from head to toe with suits, shirts, shoes, socks, ties, and all the accessories you need, with a wide range of sizes available.
Doors open at 12 PM, so come early! It’s going to be a busy day filled with food, drinks, refreshments, and live music.
We’re also accepting donations of new or gently worn items. Drop-offs can be made at the 79th Precinct, or feel free to DM for more info.
