After a long journey across the Mediterranean shores and Central Europe, which began inside the prison of Secondigliano (Naples) thanks to @teatringestazione and continued through Tunis @theatre.national.tunisien , Nabeul @la_brise_beach_bar , Budapest @placccfesztival , Zagreb @this_is_a_domino_project , Berlin @tatwerk_berlin , Palermo @studio_rizoma_ and Cagliari @sardegnateatro , Barrani closes the first phase of its international tour between Paris @parole_errante_demain and Amman, in collaboration with @albaladtheater and @sardegnateatro . The collaboration will continue throughout 2026 with new dates between late spring and summer. A precious journey that allowed us to meet people and spaces, reinvent formats, and imagine new projects and collaborations. A focus on: Between Land and Sea 2025
Ep.01 Corps Citoyen @corpscitoyen Il catalogo di Between Land and Sea 2025 raccoglie i contributi personali degli artisti invitati a confrontarsi con il tema di questa edizione: “Significato”. A ciascuno è stato inoltre chiesto di offrire la propria definizione del termine, trasformando la pubblicazione in uno spazio corale di attraversamento tra pratiche, linguaggi e visioni.
 Durante il festival il collettivo Corps Citoyen ha presentato al Teatro garibaldi “BARRANI – La doppia assenza”, nato come ricerca sonora e divenuto scena, per poi sdoppiarsi in spettacolo e produzione discografica, in un campo di echi, riverberi e parole. Per Corps Citoyen, la rinegoziazione del “Significato” è costitutiva di un’identità in continua evoluzione: uno spazio intermedio che sfida i binarismi e riscrive, tra echi e archivi gestuali. - A focus on: Between Land and Sea 2025 Ep.01 Corps Citoyen @corpscitoyen 
 The Between Land and Sea 2025 catalogue brings together personal contributions from the artists invited to engage with this year’s theme: “Significato.” Each artist was also asked to offer their own definition of the term, transforming the publication into a collective space of passage across practices, languages, and visions.
 During the festival, the collective Corps Citoyen presented at Teatro Garibaldi, “BARRANI – The Double Absence”, born as a sound research project that became a stage work, later unfolding into both a performance and a music production, within a field of echoes, reverberations, and words. For Corps Citoyen, the renegotiation of “Significato” is constitutive of an ever-evolving identity: an in-between space that challenges binarisms and rewrites, through echoes and gestural archives. Corps Citoyen – أحنّ إلى خبز أمّي ‎أحنّ إلى خبز أمّي (I Long for My Mother’s Bread) is the first single from Barrani, the record by Corps Citoyen, a multidisciplinary collective based between Tunis and Milan. This first single is built on two fragments by Mahmoud Darwish, one of the most vital voices of Palestinian poetry. Barrani arrives in Cagliari because today a fault line opens here, a possibility. Not just any city, but a place that knows how to shift, that knows wind, departures, and returns. It’s in this vibration that our work finds meaning: in the interstices where art can still invent space instead of occupying it. Cagliari pushes toward the sea and holds back, and for this reason it becomes fertile ground for a nomadic project like ours, a place where theatre can step outside itself and listen to what circulates in the ports, in the grey zones, in spaces not born “for” culture and therefore perfect. La giornata di ieri del festival Between Land and Sea si è conclusa al Teatro Garibaldi con il secondo evento sold out del programma: la performance “BARRANI – La doppia assenza” di Corps Citoyen (@corpscitoyen ), piattaforma artistica fondata a Tunisi nel 2013 e trasferitasi a Milano nel 2018. “BARRANI” è nata come ricerca sonora e si è trasformata in scena, in un campo di echi e parole. Ha attraversato la condizione dell’essere “fuori posto”, sospesi tra origine e approdo, tra assenza e presenza. In tunisino, “barrani” significa “straniero”: colui che viene da fuori. La performance ha esplorato la memoria e l’esilio come luoghi vivi, dove la lingua madre e il corpo diventano archivi di gesti, nostalgie e appartenenze. It explored the condition of being “out of place,” suspended between origin and destination, between absence and presence. In Tunisian Arabic, “barrani” means “foreigner”: the one who comes from outside. The performance delved into memory and exile as living spaces, where the mother tongue and the body become archives of gestures, nostalgia, and belonging. A poetic and political act dedicated to the generations of the diaspora and to those who inhabit the Mediterranean as a space of passage, resistance, and rebirth.
