This is an open invite to everyone within the Bay Area to come out and receive a proper introduction to the people and coffees of Yellow Rooster! Our team is traveling from city to city in preparation for World of Coffee, along with our good friends from Sens Coffee, the co-fermentation specialists from Colombia.
We will be presenting a general overview of our offerings from Colombia and Peru — including regional and varietal-focused lots to experimental and co-fermentation lots.
Monday, April 6th, starts at 11:30! Come hang and taste some goodies with us!
In solidarity with those calling for justice and accountability in response to recent policies across the country, CoRo Coffee’s roastery will be closed on Friday, January 30th in support of the general strike.
Our roastery staff will be fully paid for the day so they can strike in solidarity without financial burden.
Understanding co-fermentation helps us make better decisions as roasters, buyers, and drinkers. For roasters in particular, co-fermented coffees can be tools: tools to explore flavor, to design experiences, and to understand how processing choices shape the final cup. This is not about convincing you to like co-fermented coffees. It’s about understanding them.
On Friday, February 6th, Unblended and Sebastian Ramirez will host a cupping and open conversation at CoRo Coffee in Berkeley and explore co-fermentation as a processing tool. We’ll taste, ask questions, and break down what’s actually happening in the cup, without agendas or conclusions with which you’re expected to agree.
