Baltesā practice incorporates corporeal elements like hands, feet, and parts of faces, often in motion, emerging from bold colour fields and dynamic forms. Her works captures intense, vibrant moments with a sense of spontaneity and playfulness, while keeping them grounded with an underlying precision and thoughtful use of materials.
She applies dense pigments with care, using a controlled palette and brushstrokes that appear spontaneous, yet are thoughtfully placed within minimalistic yet striking compositions. Baltesā pieces invite viewers to project their own experiences onto them, allowing for personal and universal interpretations.
