We are incredibly grateful to be spending a month in Paris at the @centreculturelirlandais to work on some new music and attend as many gigs as humanly possible 🌹 We'll also be doing a PC lite (sans John) support for @lisaoneillmusic here on the 26th [Pic taken mere minutes after a pigeon slapped Ruth in the face]

OUR COLLABORATION ALBUM  'THE WORLD THAT I KNEW'  IS COMING OUT THIS FRIDAY 9TH OF MAY 2025. To be released on the same day, the music video of our track featuring Ruth Clinton and Cormac Mac Diarmada 'Lovers and Friends' (written by Sean Mone). @ruth_a_clinton @cormacdy --------------------------------------- "Our friendship with Ruth and Cormac goes back a very long time, playing sessions in the Cobblestone, Devitts, Bowe’s, all over Dublin..it’s been such a treat to work together on ‘Lovers and Friends’. When we selected this song for the project, the idea of bringing our four heads together around it just made sense, and we were so delighted when they said yes. The process of arranging it came together quite smoothly. Lucie and Ruth worked on the vocal arrangements from Dublin to Sligo by sending each other recordings of arranged sections of 4 parts harmonies, and we pieced them all together when we managed to meet, it was like assembling a musical puzzle. Cormac worked his magic with his fiddle and came up with a wildly unique tempo of instrumental sections, and we added our own baroque-inspired feel to it. During the recording session we worked with our producer John ‘Spud’ Murphy to further expand the intensity of this instrumental, by adding several more layers of strings, piano and hammond organ." VARO "We have been fortunate to hear the great Sean Mone singing Lovers and Friends in sessions over the years. The chorus speaks of community and defiance,  which, for us, are at the heart of traditional music. We have known and played music with Consuelo and Lucie for years. Getting together to arrange this song and being part of this project was a joy and a privilege."
