I had a BLAST @kicexpo this past weekend! I met so many great people in front of and behind the tables. I left so inspired.
I loved seeing kids the same age as me when I created my original comics (9, 10, 11 years-old) enjoy my characters and stories.
Many adults shared that they too used to do something similar to my comics, unfortunately stopped in childhood, and regret no longer having their creations. It was nice to see I managed to unlock that memory for them as they recalled with a smile.
Parents/adults, continue to encourage children’s art! Taking them to events like KICx to see/buy DIY/self-published/independent work and talking with creators really helps children (AND adults) see that their art can be a lifelong passion whether as a career and/or for their own enjoyment.
I can’t wait to get out there again to share the Corey Comics Universe with more people!

I have been quiet on social media because I have been busy self-publishing work for my TABLE DEBUT at the Kingston Independent Comic Expo (@kicexpo ) in April (tickets on sale now, link in bio).
Hope to see you there!

Braved the winter weather to catch Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes exhibit @fenimoreartmuseum .
We enjoyed it. I introduced my daughter to the strip a couple of years ago. Occasionally we will read a series from one of the collections I own before bed. Love seeing the original art works, especially the beauty of the watercolors, in person
I was even inspired to do my own quick crayon sketch imagining my son as Calvin (racing a wagon).
This past weekend I took my own little McCallister to experience this classic in all of its musical score glory thanks to @nyphilharmonic and @bychorus . A magical evening.

Captain Corey and Coil pursue Dr. Cosmic and Phantom in Coil’s spaceship, narrowly escaping the explosion of Earth. Dr. Cosmic veers off course from the designated human survivor planet of Vortex.
Captain Corey and Coil track Dr. Cosmic and Phantom to a new planet that happens to be Coil’s home planet. Dr. Cosmic and Phantom settle inside an active volcano as their base of operations. Coil takes Captain Corey to his old home. This 4-part miniseries concludes with the stage being set for a battle between our superhero duo against Dr. Cosmic and Phantom.
