After countless climbs and descents on asphalt, it was finally time for the Col du Sommeiller raw gravel, thin air, and pure adrenaline. We were five crazy friends taking on this epic challenge together. The trail was intense and thrilling, a true test of endurance and spirit at nearly 3,000 meters altitude! The mix of tough terrain and breathtaking views made it unforgettable…

For many years, @corbaciofff has been exploring and studying the trails around his family home near Parma. He’s long nurtured an ambitious dream: to connect 62 peaks of the Apennines by following one of the longest ridgelines in Italy.
This dream has given rise to The Great Apenninic Backbone, a 128 km route that runs almost entirely along the ridge, with a total elevation gain of around 7,000 meters.
Tomorrow, Saturday, May 31st, is finally the day to attempt this grand traverse, which in several sections diverges from the better-known Sentiero Italia. Joining him on this adventure are two lifelong friends, @Tommi.Sawyer and @Trauzl .
The route includes only a couple of resupply points and features numerous equipped sections, making it a demanding but sick experience.
Whether the attempt is successful or not, we’ll be sharing the full details of the route in our Outdoor Guides, so that it can become accessible to any hikers who wish to take it on.
In the meantime, follow the adventure in real time through our Instagram Stories and those of the team.
Good luck guys!
A special thanks to @oggipablo , who compiled and transcribed the full list of peaks along with their elevations.

Too often we choose how to see things not bothering how they see us.

We are just arrogant spectators of their bigger stage
