He has designed over 20 font families and won TDC Ascenders & ADC Young Guns typography awards. He has developed an eye for contemporary branding needs through past work at &Walsh and curating this page for years. Contemporary Type is also in touch with great type designers for projects of various complexity.

Der Workshop wurde im Wechsel von Robert Radziejewski @robert.radziejewski und Prof. Susanne Stahl @stahl_r geleitet. Das Wesen der Alchemie ist die Suche nach Verwandlung, die Transformation von Stoffen und Materialien in neue Formen und Bedeutungen. Sie verbindet das radikale Experiment mit präziser Beobachtung und kühle Wissenschaft mit naiver Neugier. Diese Idee der Verwandlung bildet den Ausgangspunkt unseres Kurses: Gestaltung als eine Form visueller Alchemie. Wir untersuchen, wie Typografie in Bilder übersetzt werden kann und wie Bilder wiederum in typografische Formen übergehen können. Was passiert, wenn Zeichen, Strukturen und Motive ihre ursprünglichen Funktionen verlassen und in andere Ausdrucksformen übergehen? Von KI-basierten Anwendungen über Photoshop und browsergestützte Tools bis hin zu experimentellen Techniken ohne Computer. Jedes Medium eröffnet eigene Möglichkeiten, unerwartete Bild- und Schriftwelten hervorzubringen und neue ästhetische Perspektiven zu erforschen.
