We climbed Mayan pyramids. Swam through the Sian Ka’an biosphere reserve. Sang mantras in a meditation temple. We healed in the crystalline waters of Bacalar.
But the heart of it was a community near Calakmul. Supplies for the families, toys for the kids, and an afternoon full of connection that was for sure the highlight of the trip. That’s the real purpose of @mayaspirits : helping families and preserving the jungle through art. Every year a small group of artists gathers in the deepest parts of Mexico to bond, create, and auction work that funnels back to the people who live there.
I’ll never forget this, or the incredible group of humans I shared it with. We arrived as acquaintances and left as family. My deepest gratitude to @opensea for making it possible, and to @liamscully and @mlencho for the work they’re doing with the Maya Spirits foundation.

During my time in Marfa, time felt slower, longer, and more visible. The work transforms that feeling into a living system of movement, memory, and connection, using blockchain data to synchronize its internal movement to the present, so it does not begin when it is seen, nor stop when it is unseen.
