We met with Constance Tenvik to speak about curiosity, play, and the role painting holds in shaping a meaningful life. “Being an artist means doing what I love and living a meaningful life led by curiosity and inspiration in serious play.” Her work unfolds through that balance , where intuition and structure meet in an ongoing exploration of image-making. Looking ahead, a period of travel and new contexts is opening up. “I am going to Seoul very soon. I’ll spend 2,5 months in South Korea in a residency at MMCA. I’m beyond excited for that! Otherwise I’m cooking up some exhibitions in Vienna, Lund and Oslo where I’m finding new ways to create scenes in paintings. Takk for meg @prosjektskolen ! Det har vært gøy å kaste seg ut i kurset mitt Metamorfoser med myter, drømmer, teatrale tradisjoner og litterære referanser med dere! Takk til gjestelærere som Bjarne Melgaard med raust bidrag av kataloger og høytlesning av sin kommende roman, Robert Emil Berge om gresk drama, Karen Nikgol om Satyricon og sin utvidede praksis. Philip Currell viste oss kriker og kroker av Operaen og vi fikk sett førpremiere av balletten Hedda Gabler. Takk for raust besøk til Fashion Research Library der Elise By Olsen holdt et glimrende foredrag og viste oss rundt. Fulgt opp av flott omvisning med Geir Haraldseth på Nasjonalmuseet. Det var fantastisk å møte Anders Holen i hans utstilling Pursed Lip, Fan In Hand. Vi har også vært innom Kunstnerforbundet og Astrup Fearnley Museet. Det var flott med omvisning på Nationaltheatret der noen av oss så Holberg’s Den Stundesløse. Ellers har vi sett Casanova og Satyricon av Fellini, skrevet ned drømmer, tegnet, hørt på lydbok om myter og pratet sammen. Det hele kulminerer i en utstilling på skolen som åpner i dag.
