Starting with 300+ applications, the final selection of around 50 students will be revealed on April 15th.

Yesterday we had a truly amazing finale of our Extreme Writers Camp 2026 during the listening/viewing session at @slachthuishaarlem 🔥✨
25 very creative, powerful tracks/videos dealing with some kind of protest against a broad array of subjects (femicide, floods, housing crisis, but even protest from the perspective of a seagull), all made within 36 hours 🙀

This week it is time for our Extreme Writers Camp 🔥💥
As opposed to our November edition (which is focused on publishers’ briefings, usually aimed at commercial music), we always try to switch it up in March.
This edition the participants are encouraged to write songs in extreme genres/styles/combinations, while expressing their frustration/protest with regards to one of the so many injustices in the world we live in.
Definitely looking forward to the results of this one 🤘⚡️✨
Next week it’s finally time for the amazing @popcollegetour_ 🔥⚡️
The formula: 6 leading music institutions are each represented by 1 artist, and those artists all perform in their respective cities within one week.
On Tuesday March 17 they will flex their artistic muscles at @patronaathaerlem and the entrance is FREE

Proud of our students making waves: Wie Is Moon? @moons_mp3 won the Night Edition of the @robacdaawards by overwhelming the jury with his poetic lyrics and oldschool beats 👏❤️
He will do a performance during the finals of the Rob Acda Award this Thursday in @patronaathaerlem where, among others, our very own @pampel_music AND @roel.mp3 will battle for glory 🔥✨🤘

We zijn lekker op dreef, dag 4 van de Week van de Haarlemse Nacht is hier! 🌟 vandaag staat in het teken van ontmoeting en kennis uitwisselen 💡
Vanavond om 19:00 komen nachtprogrammeurs (op uitnodiging) samen in De Kelder voor het programmeursoverleg, waarin zij o.a. praten over ontwikkelingen en trends in de Haarlemse nachtcultuur en hoe zij elkaar en de scenes in de stad kunnen versterken 💫
Aansluitend hierop is er het PRO Programma(18+): Nachtelijke uitdagingen v.s. community building. Panelleden Liza van den Brink (o.a. dj, organisator ICONIC) en Ramon de Lima (o.a. voormalig nachtburgemeester Amsterdam, initiator ClubEthics) delen hun visies over verschillende vormen van community building als middel om publiek te trekken én te verbinden, aan de hand van succesvolle concepten met opgebouwde fanbases. Een mooie kans om gratis extra kennis op te doen over het werkveld! Floor Spieksma is hierbij de moderator.
Daarna proosten we samen op de Haarlemse nacht tijdens de Netwerkborrel x Conservatorium showcase (18+) 🍻 met muziek van drie Conservatorium acts - de ‘goofy’ vintage sound van Theo Artz, soulvolle r&b en afropop van Jada Faith en de atmosferische elektronica van NEBULA. DJ TATII draait de avond aan elkaar mer haar dansbare sets vol Amapiano en Afro House 💃 Jip Rigter host deze avond.

Voor Isis Cloudt begint muziek met gevoel. 🎶
Ze is derdejaarsstudent Electronic Music en de enige vrouw in haar jaar.
“Omdat ik de uitzondering was, dacht ik soms dat ík fout zat.”
Maar muziek maken gaat niet over passen in een hokje.
Het gaat over je eigen geluid vinden.
In een gesprek met dj/producer Estroe, Conchitta Bottse (rosetta.) en lector Koos Zwaan verkennen we waar die drempels vandaan komen – en wat er nodig is om de muziekindustrie inclusiever te maken.
Een verhaal dat ook raakt aan Internationale Vrouwendag (8 maart).
