Today, TCA is speaking out against the rescission of the BLM Public Lands Rule and reaffirming the importance of protecting America’s public lands. “The 245 million acres of land overseen by the Bureau of Land Management provide critical spaces for wildlife habitat, outdoor recreation, and tribally significant cultural sites and resources. The Conservation Alliance and more than 100 of our member companies supported the creation of a strong BLM Public Lands Rule that put conservation and recreation on equal footing with other uses and recognized the critical economic value of protected public lands. The rescission of this rule is a major setback for conservation and for the economies, businesses, employees, and communities that depend on healthy public lands.” - Paul Hendricks, Executive Director

We had an incredible weekend at Hestival with @hestoutdoors in Colorado. Hestival 2026 was dedicated to protecting the places we all love in partnership with the @conservationalliance . Custom MiiR camp cups kept attendees hydrated and caffeinated, alongside @bivouac.coffee . Between live music, camping amongst apple blossoms, stargazing, and active moments with yoga, biking, and kayaking, it was a weekend to remember.

Good news, coming from across the country these last few months. From North Carolina to Washington State, these wins show what’s possible when communities, Tribes, and partners come together to protect and restore the places we all depend on. Whether it’s expanding access to nature, restoring rivers, or reconnecting critical habitat, communities are coming together to conserve outdoor places that matter to all of us.

Over the past 30 years, Wild Salmon Center has worked with partners including The Conservation Alliance to protect Pacific salmon strongholds—wild rivers where salmon still thrive. Strongholds are some of the most naturally rich and abundant places left on Earth. They teem with wildlife and are essential for outdoor recreation. With The Conservation Alliance, Wild Salmon Center has protected hundreds of thousands of acres around strongholds in Oregon’s Coastal Rainforest, prevented a 700-foot-tall dam on Alaska’s Susitna River, and kept millions of acres of prime Alaskan backcountry open and accessible to all. So far, Wild Salmon Center has protected 35+ million acres, prioritized wild fish protections on 89 rivers, and founded or co-led 15 conservation coalitions. Now it's your turn. Join Wild Salmon Center to complete protection of the 20 greatest strongholds, to keep these places running wild for future generations. Take the pledge at RunningWild.org (/) To inspire the stronghold movement, Wild Salmon Center brings strongholds to you via Running Wild: Return to the River, an immersive, 3D giant screen film narrated by Liam Neeson. Running Wild spotlights the vital role of wild Pacific salmon for our planet—and the people working to protect them. Opening in select theaters this spring. Check RunningWild.org for more.

@conservationalliance and @hipcamp , a Brands for Public Lands participant, have teamed up to create the Roadless Rule Collection, a set of campsites available near roadless areas—millions of acres across U.S. national forests and grasslands that are federally protected from development like road construction and timber harvesting. Because roadless areas are intentionally light on infrastructure, how we camp nearby matters. When you choose established campgrounds, conservation-focused private land, or designated dispersed sites outside roadless boundaries (and follow Leave No Trace principles) we help keep pressure off the places meant to stay undeveloped. Leave any comment below and we’ll DM you link to the full collection. #hipcamp #conservation #leaveitbetter

There’s still time to shop brands that make a difference. From April 19–25, #WeKeepItWild turns everyday purchases into support for conservation. Participating brands are donating a portion of online sales to protect the lands and waters we all depend on. A huge shout out to the brands who joined! We’re lucky to be part of such a proactive and impactful community showing up for conservation when it matters most. @trewgear @bocogear @tailwindnutrition @gossamergear @recpak @farmtofeet @keltybuilt @nomadixco @guforit @emergerstrategies @bronwenjewelry @svensaw @topoathletic @nemoequipment

As a longtime supporter, Outdoor Prolink wanted to share an updated look at The Conservation Alliance and the meaningful conservation work the organization continues to champion. Since 1989, The Conservation Alliance has awarded over $33 million in grants, helped protect more than 124 million acres and nearly 5,000 river miles, and mobilized hundreds of businesses to advocate for wild places across North America. Head to the 🔗 in bio @outdoorprolink for the full feature and a reminder on why collective advocacy is so important.
