This is Dockery Farms in Mississippi, the cotton plantation where blues music originated. Roughly 3,000 people lived on Dockery at one time growing, picking and ginning cotton. Legends like Robert Johnson and Howlin Wolf lived here and learned the blues from Charley Patton I've wanted to go since I was 16 and I finally got there this summer.
Pic 4 is the crossroads where it's alleged Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil for the ability to play the guitar like nobody else. He died when he was 27 and is the first member of the 27 club.
