After months of working on this, I can’t believe we are three weeks away from the opening. It has definitely been a marathon for me for this iteration of Beyond The Streets Paris, so I’m happy to see the finish line ahead! I pulled double duty and was lucky enough to work with my man Mike D @michaeldelahaut again on the @beastieboys install for the show and @rogergastman shocked us both with a BIG surprise fans of the band are going to love 🤳. Welcome to the weekend! I’m happy to share that a new bottle of Sineann wine, featuring a painting of mine for the label, is currently out in the wild. Instead of the last two Cabernets, this is a sparkling wine made in the champagne method, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. To my untrained palette there were definite notes of pear and flange squeal, but try it for yourself and figure it out. Like all good things they are a bit limited and hard to come by, so I think you can only get them directly at the winery in Oregon or contact them via their website. #sineannwinery

I’m Back to Back in DC! This time with my friends at @umbrellaartfair . I sent a new painting (shout out to my man @_ebik_fgs_fh_ ) and a couple new & newish G scale trains. BEYOND THE STREETS is pleased to present Tim Conlon’s customized G scale model trains are born from a lifetime of painting actual freight train graffiti starting Baltimore, Maryland in the early 90s.  Conlon painstakingly weathers and designs these miniature versions using mixed media, recreating every detail ever seen on actual-size iron horses.  Using spray paint, brushes, sponges, acrylics and imagination, he conjures authenticity, down to rust spots, dents, long-gone corporate logos, boxcar markings, and rail worker stamps. Outtake from “Rolling Like Thunder” with John and his “police” vest. He lived his life hating authority and withdrew from society. He was continually abused by the system since he was a kid, up until recently when his makeshift home under a bridge was destroyed by railroad police before he went into the hospital. I’m glad we had a chance to collect his stories and offer him some peace.
