Big News: two weeks from today I will be playing my first solo set as @star_sign_music ! I have never performed my original music live before so this is something brand new to me. This night features some acoustic sets - first times for @braydenturnerdrums@kateparker.jpg and I and also joined by @littlevikingband and @derek_w_dooms_music show starts at 8PM at Courtyard Brewery! Something big is happening: September 28th is the debut of New Orleans' newest festival -
BlackAmericana Fest @blackamericanafest
This festival is a platform to honor and celebrate the musical heritage, legacy and contributions of Black artists making music in the Americana and Folk genres in New Orleans and the Mississippi River Delta region and features music, food, art and historical and cultural panels.
I've had the honor of helping design the festival (poster, signs, website, graphics, merch) alongside the founders @duskywaters@happyblacksongstress and @marktwilliamsii and I am so excited to see this festival come together in a few weeks. If you are interested in helping out or getting involved with this amazing FREE festival, we are still looking for volunteers and you can sign up through the website!
