I’d like to have a choice about these things but I’m not sure how possible that is in the semi-conscious barrage we live amongst. @conner.griffith collected thousands of documents and socials images to build this story of brain nudging as a time stretching fractaline sculpture.
But it all started from an anonymous quote from onbeing.maxcooper.net “I have a sense of getting closer to something which my life depends on, but I can’t tell whether I should be excited or terrified about what will happen”… it had a clear feeling to work with musically as the starting point. Something new for you today, the mind assault of marketing materials from “A sense of getting closer” with @conner.griffith
The project was built from an anonymous quote that captured my imagination and turned into my favourite from the album
“I have a sense of getting closer to something which my life depends on. I can sense it but I cannot tell if I should be excited or terrified about what will happen.”
It made me push for tension and apprehension as the music swells, and I chatted to Conner about how to represent it visually with materials that do their best to push us along their own paths, historic magazines, news, socials, Conner created an epic time and space slicing journey through. A color that evokes life, energy, and the beginning of a new chapter at Rosewood. The ebb and flow of water represents an endless stream of connected moments.
