This has not been an easy journey to say the least but we are built to do hard things!
I truly appreciate the @cityofdetroit for honoring the work we do to create positive spaces for Detroiters and beyond. Being recognized was just the fuel I needed to keep pushing!

There isn’t a manual on how to get through life. We’re all figuring it out and fine tuning where we can! Im in the process of breaking up with the version of me that is so hard on myself. I’ve always been the one to look forward to the next goal instead of focusing on what’s right in front of me.
This new Lo understands that obstacles often always align with new heights. So instead of being so focused on the stress of it all I choose to focus on the growth I’m inheriting.

Hung with TT @socialnthecity then mommy went to work!!! Snuck and got some ice cream and was stuck at my desk the entire show doing admin work.
Came back home and cleaned up the threenagers bedroom…. How can she turn a room upside down in less than a week is insane.

Took Lyric on a little field trip to @sealife_michigan inside @greatlakescrossingoutlets and it was a HIT.

Lyric was locked in the whole time! Completely obsessed with the fish. And honestly, moments like this matter to me. If she’s out of school, I’m making sure we’re outside, exploring, and making memories… not just stuck on the iPad.

Recently I had a meeting with an “organization” that basically told me that I don’t know what I’m doing in regards to managing a concert venue. And honestly in some ways they were right. I didn’t know when I first started… but 5 years in I’m gifted in understanding how to make this place successful! Gifted in building and leading teams, gifted in producing and handling 200+ shows a year. Gifted in growing my entire staff to be leaders and gifted in making sure every event we do is successful. And within all of this always evolving my knowledge of the industry.
This entire weekend I let those words get to me to the point where I lost sleep. But today I’m up. I remembered who I am and I know the work that I don’t what I’m doing right now will propel me to one day managing arenas and a staff of 500+
I’m reminding us all to remember who we are. The greatness that’s within us and the greatness that’s on the way!
Today I didn’t schedule housekeeping staff even tho we still had an event today I wanted to make sure with our 26 show month everyone had a window of rest. So I handled it. Because that’s what bosses do ✨
