Next Friday we are popping up at @cervantesmasterpiece with Chef @merlinverrier from @street_feud and a killer line up of musicians for your dining and listening pleasure. Tickets are on sale tmrw at 10 a.m. Admission includes a 3 course seated dinner and 90 minutes of great music. All Covid and social distance regulations will be in affect. Come out and eat and dance safe!!
In the beginning of this pandemic I started something that I thought would be fun for me and some of my friends to stay connected. As time went by and the project evolved it became something more than I ever imagined. Upon the death of George Floyd and the social revolution happening throughout the world I saw an opportunity to give back. So instead of raising money for our own prosperity and artist relief I decided to devote my efforts to this movement. A movement for education, equality, anti-racism, police reform, social reform and a new approach to our world as a whole. Our black brothers and sisters have been oppressed for too long. The unity and diversity represented in this video represents the movement that we need to see towards understanding inclusion and ONENESS!! As we were about to release the video and fundraiser a couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Playing For Change who have been working towards a better world with their creative efforts as well. They wanted to team up and help the cause!
This Friday, ETHNO in partnership with Playing For Change will present “30 Minutes for Justice” a fundraiser for Black Lives Matter ✊🖤💪 and Playing For Change Foundation.
I want the format of the video to be a surprise but you will see each of these amazing artists contributing to an original 30 minute composition organically grown from love, passion and commitment to a better world.
Thanks to Live For Live Music Jon Phillips Kunj Shah Sara Shah snd Annabel Lukins Stelling for helping me connect with the artists. Thanks to Add Noise Studios / Mike Tallman for donating his design skills and I want to thank this whole line up of my friends for believing in this and making it a reality. Please share and tune in Friday. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $20,000 for our two causes. We will air an open table discussion that we the artists had about our experiences, feelings and actions at this time of revolution, growth and change. Stay strong my people. I can’t wait to share our revolutionary contribution to a more educated world that has zero tolerance for racism, discrimination, police brutality and hate. Thank you, ONE LOVE!!
ETHNO LIVE TONIGHT 12 am MST
12 years ago I set foot into a historic Denver building, glowing with the spirits of music past, music present and music future. Contrary to the vibe of DC where I was living at the time, the whole staff was welcoming and respected each other and the artists that frequented the club. It felt like a place where true musical and cultural freedom was manifesting. This place is @cervantesmasterpiece .. little did I know that eventually I would live 6 blocks from the club and become a friend to so many who work there providing us artists with support feedback and the occasional @modelousa / @espolontequila combo. The love and support that I have felt@from@this community is all because of this place. This project @ethnoglobal has a home at Cervantes and has been able to blossom because of Cervantes and the amazing people that make it happen.

Tomorrow night my sister and I will be hosting a collaborative yoga session!! @ethnoglobal + @wheelhousecliftonyoga 🧘🏻♂️ I have seen @alysonfpollard go from a young mom of 3 through a spiritual journey that has led her to become one of the most inspirational people in my life!! She has a yoga practice in the town we grew up in, Clifton VA that has now expanded to two studios! Well at least before the pandemic. We are teaming up to try and create a new flow for both of us!! This is the first time we will be “working” together where I create the music and she creates the flow!! I am very excited and hopeful that this can become a regular thing!!
