A very special mix here for episode thirty two, introducing to you @melaquil , fellow @radioalhara member and creator of @condesaelectronics , custom built rotary mixers in demand by the world’s most revered DJs and the heart our set up here at ELTB. Based in Australia, this mix is mostly made up of records he picked up whilst visiting London, from record shops to an old friend Phil, who always has a few crates of good tunes for sale. He also brought a bag of 7”s over from his collection, so a few of those faves got a look in later in the mix. Mehdi is a bit obsessed with Reggae, Dub, Lovers Rock and early Dancehall records, of which many of these tunes feel timeless. He plays a few to kick things off and then slowly moves it towards some of the more staple sounds he often spins.

Years ago when we were asked to make a Green faced mixer (no one was making green mixers at this time!), we were not totally sure it would look good, once it materialised it became something that was visually far more pleasing than what we ever expected!
