Founded in 2024 by Itzá García and Tobias Fandel as a concert and exhibition event in Midtown Manhattan, overdrive aims to bring artistic practices into contact with contemporary and cutting-edge media technologies, challenging the established boundaries of artistic disciplines.

Overdrive celebrates the reactivation of the Computer Music Laboratory of the CUNY Graduate Center with an electronic music concert and a multimedia exhibition. The event features highly accomplished composers and sound artists, alongside emerging composers and media artists.
