Every now and then, it’s worth sharing how we actually help. Because if people don’t know what you do, they can’t reach out when they need it.   Here’s what we support organisations and leaders with:   ⚡️Strategic communication coaching
We work as a trusted sounding board for teams and leaders. That means coaching, advising, challenging where needed, and bringing practical, real-world comms expertise. Our work is grounded in workplace culture, confidence, and inclusive leadership.   ⚡️Inclusive communications reviews
Think of this as a deeper channels and content review. We look at what’s working, what’s being missed, who might be excluded, and how communication can build more trust, connection, and inclusion.   ⚡️Workshops and team upskilling
We design and deliver sessions on inclusive language, confidence and influence, measurement, change communication, and creative thinking for modern internal comms teams.   ⚡️Change and transformation support
From evolution and restructures to complex transformation programmes, we bring structure, empathy, and clarity when communication matters most.   ⚡️1:1 coaching for leaders and founders
For those who want to lead and communicate with more impact, confidence, and influence without having to change who they are.   If any of this sounds useful, send us a DM and let’s start a conversation.   #Leadership #InternalCommunications #WorkplaceCulture

In six weeks, @Advitap book “Building a Culture of Inclusivity” will be published via Kogan Page! Within the book, she and @priyabates share stories, examples, models and frameworks to help guide those keen to build inclusion in their workplace, specifically through effective communications. One of the models they share is the ALLME 4A framework. This framework was created to help people understand how to address challenges and barriers in pursuit of inclusion. The first step is Acknowledge. You need to know the gaps in your learning so you can do something about them. The second step is Awareness. Understanding what’s happening around you is incredibly important. Do your research, understand the data and identify any disconnects. Once you know this, you can take appropriate Action. This is where you set tangible and measurable goals. Finally Accountability. This step will help you measure success and failure so you can determine the next steps. None of us are perfect. We ALL make mistakes. But we have to have a growth mindset if we want to see change for the better. You will hear many say that staying silent is a privilege, and it is. But you must do some learning first to avoid behaviour that could potentially be harmful, and cause disengagement in your organisation. For this week only, Kogan Page is holding a spring sale where you can save 25% on all books. Use Sale25 at checkout to grab your discount. DM us for the link directly to the book! And if you want to know more about how they can help you build inclusion through effective comms get in touch. #Inclusion #Diversity #EDI #Equality #Comms

If you’re running awards, selecting speakers, or judging entries—this is worth a rethink. Inclusive judging isn’t complicated. But it does require intention. Here’s a simple framework to improve fairness: Before judging: – Be clear on what success actually looks like – Publish criteria (and what doesn’t matter) – Ensure your panel reflects diverse perspectives During judging: – Score only against the criteria – Separate content from presentation – Use structured scoring (not gut feel) When giving feedback: – Focus on substance, not surface-level issues – Be specific and constructive – Consider how it lands for someone early in their career Because bias doesn’t always look like discrimination. Sometimes it looks like “just how we’ve always done things.” And that’s exactly the problem.

The best communicators don’t always need more information. Sometimes, they need space to think clearly. That’s where coaching can make a real difference. At CommsRebel, communication coaching is designed to support individuals, leaders and teams navigating complexity, visibility, change and pressure. It creates space to step back, challenge thinking, build confidence and make better decisions, without the noise. For some people, that means strengthening strategic influence or finding the confidence to speak up more visibly. For others, it’s working through stakeholder challenges, leadership pressures or moments of self-doubt. And sometimes, it’s simply having an experienced sounding board who understands the realities of communication, culture and leadership. Because great communication isn’t just about outputs. It’s about judgment, clarity, trust and impact. Our coaching combines practical communication expertise with confidence, culture and leadership insight to help people communicate more effectively, without losing themselves in the process. If you’re looking for support for yourself, your leaders or your comms team, send us a message to find out more about our coaching programmes.

Recently, Advita was asked what skills are missing in our industry right now, and she said our ability to advocate for ourselves isn’t great. When you’ve been working in internal communications for several years, you generally know what ‘good’ should look like in terms of technical expertise. But the biggest issue, in her opinion, is not being able to stand by our conviction and stick up for ourselves as much as our friends do in other disciplines. So we often get treated like we’re a ‘nice’ to have function rather than a function that can play a critical role in helping build trust in a noisy, volatile, uncertain world. So Advita’s wish for our industry is that every IC person believes in their worth and value, without thinking they are not good enough or that they should be lucky to have a ‘iob.’ We do great work, add great value and make a big difference. If we didn’t, why would so many other people, who are not qualified or experienced, want to get in on the act?!

“Be more resilient.” It sounds like supportive advice. But in practice, it can land very differently. Because sometimes what people hear is: don’t struggle, don’t show it’s hard, don’t push back, just deal with it. And that’s where resilience starts to become problematic. If the pressure never changes. If the workload never eases. If the culture doesn’t allow people to speak up. Then what we’re really asking for isn’t resilience; it’s endurance. And there’s a difference. One supports growth and wellbeing, whilst the other leads to burnout. So it’s worth asking yourself: are you trying to become more resilient, or are you trying to cope with something that actually needs to change? Sometimes having the space to unpack that properly makes all the difference. Coaching can help you step back, build clarity and develop the confidence to respond differently, not just endure more. If that’s something you’re ready for, working with Advita could be a good place to start. Drop us a DM if you’d like to know more about Advita’s coaching packages.
