Things have been quiet here because I’ve been finishing off the first draft of my brand new book. It’s been eight years of thinking, 18 months of faffing and six months of writing, but now it’s all becoming a reality. This is the final book cover, and I absolutely adore it. It’s a completely different colour palette from what I thought I’d choose, but when I received it from the publisher, I was drawn to its boldness. I took photos of bookshelves in @waterstones to see how this green might stand out, and it definitely does 🤣. The book isn’t out until next May, but you can pre-order from most online book stores or join my confidence community, where I send you regular prompts to help boost your confidence. Links to everything are in my bio. I’ll be back posting quotes and videos with snippets from the book, which has been designed as a practical workbook to help you progress without your confidence holding you or others back. Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with me: the people who shared their stories for the book, my clients who trusted me to be their confidence coach, my friends who championed me from day one, and my family who have never once scoffed at my dreams. Let’s goooo…. #DecodingConfidence #ConfidentYou #ConfidentLeadership

You haven’t lost your edge. You’ve just buried it under layers of stress. If decisions are taking three times longer than they used to, you’re spending weekends “catching up,” and you’re starting to wonder if you were ever as good as you thought, I want you to pause. In this week’s Decoding Confidence podcast, I walk you through the four stages of the confidence erosion spiral, what’s happening biologically when chronic stress takes over, and five practical things you can actually do this week to break the cycle. Plus the two pieces no one really talks about: how hormones can compound this for women, and how some of it isn’t about you at all, it’s about the environment you’re in. Search Decoding Confidence wherever you listen or pop me a DM and I’ll send you a direct link.

Cultural Intelligence made me a much better confidence coach. I used to believe I was pretty tuned in to different perspectives and lived experiences. That was until I was introduced to Cultural Intelligence (CQ) by my very good friend Sarah Black. CQ transformed my thinking and my approach to coaching conversations. I invested in becoming an accredited trainer in CQ with the Cultural Intelligence Centre UK, and now I’m pretty much obsessed with this work, so much so that it features in my new book. I want as many people as possible to be aware of CQ and how it can transform not only how we communicate with each other, but also how it can enhance workplace cultures and confidence. This week on my Decoding Confidence podcast, Sarah and I chat about CQ and the benefits it can bring. It’s a great conversation, so if you’re interested in learning more, I highly recommend you give it a listen. Search ‘Decoding Confidence’ wherever you like to listen to your podcasts. And if you’re interested in CQ, then get in touch; we are both here to help you.

Decoding Confidence has officially launched! This book isn’t about becoming louder, more polished, or pretending to have it all figured out. It’s about building the kind of confidence that feels steady, grounded and sustainable — the kind that shapes how you lead, communicate and show up, even when things feel uncertain. Inside the book, Advita explores how to: • recognise and own your strengths without minimising them • use vulnerability as a leadership strength, not a weakness • shift your inner dialogue from pressure and perfection to purpose and self-trust • build habits that create lasting confidence in everyday life and work Because real confidence isn’t about perfection. It’s about impact, self-belief and learning to trust yourself more consistently. If this sounds like something you — or your team — need right now, you can order your copy via the link in our bio.

I think we often mistake perfectionism for ambition or high standards, when in reality it can sometimes be rooted in something much deeper — fear. Fear of judgment, fear of criticism, fear of failure, or fear of being seen to get something wrong. And when that fear drives how we work, it can quietly erode confidence. You second-guess yourself. You over-edit. You wait too long to contribute. You hold back ideas until they feel impossible to challenge. And all of that can look like diligence from the outside, when internally it feels exhausting. But confidence isn’t built by trying to eliminate every possible mistake. It’s built by developing enough self-trust to know that if something doesn’t go to plan, you’ll be able to respond, recover and learn. That’s a very different foundation. One is rooted in control. The other is rooted in trust. And in my experience, self-trust is where real confidence begins. If you want 121 coaching to help with your confidence, I have a couple of spaces starting in May, so let’s have a chat!

People misunderstand the definition of confidence. They think it’s about being loud, extroverted, and being the centre of attention. That couldn’t be further from the truth. 🟩 Confidence is about how much you trust yourself (and others) to deal with whatever life throws your way. 🟩 It’s about being bold enough to stand up for yourself and others. 🟩 It’s demonstrating empathy for people who are different from you. 🟩 It’s about continually learning and improving your skills. 🟩 It’s having integrity even when it feels hard. 🟩 It’s empowering others to be their best self. 🟩 It’s leaning into your vulnerability and admitting you don’t always have the answer. 🟩 And it’s knowing yourself well enough to conserve your energy and set boundaries. It’s never about how loud you speak. If you’d like to find out more about confidence, my book is now out to purchase - click the link in my bio!

There are not enough words to describe my feelings from Tuesday’s book launch. Epic is definitely one way to describe it. The last 48 hours have been a bit of a haze. The incredible support I’ve received is just another level, and I will NEVER take for granted this beautiful community I have around me. I’m very privileged. And the biggest compliment came from the manager at @shoreditchartsclub_ who said that every single guest was a delight. Thank you for celebrating with me. I have so many more things to share but for now here are a selection of photos that gives you a flavour of the evening. Thanks @sheena_sabharwal_photography for some of these photos (you 100% can tell which ones are from a pro 🤣) Book is available for pre-order from all good bookshops. And if you want me to come to your organisation to talk about Confident Cultures - DM me!
