a place where you can buy fresh produce for your Sunday brunch, but also grab a quick bite or an easy lunch during the week. a place where you can sit for a while, but also browse and enjoy every corner of the store. a place where only filtered coffee is served and food is uncomplicated. something between a grocery store, a deli, and a Berlin Späti.

When designing @twist__bar , it was a lot about the kind of vibe we wanted to bring to Prague. For us, it was this:
It’s a place where you can enjoy a delicious drink, a glass of wine, and a little snack after work.
A place to meet a friend for a drink (or a couple of them) while listening to a good DJ, that doesn’t only start at 2 AM.
It’s a place where you can go for drinks after a nice dinner, or just grab a beer and enjoy some great music.
It’s also a place where you can dance your heart out and leave everything on the dance floor if that’s what you need.
It’s a place where you should enjoy your time.
Designing a bar as my first solo project was definitely not on my bingo card for this year, but here we are.
In the design we tried to combine the existing with the new, intimate atmosphere with dancing, and Žižkov’s character with the needs of a new generation of guests.
We aimed to highlight this through a gradual layering of architectural interventions — from raw walls and a dark, almost unlit entrance, through the bar section with its original layout but refreshed look, all the way to the DJ station. A fully built-in space with a custom-made DJ booth, sound system, and lighting design, tailored to reflect the music as it plays.
