christina’s cats of the year: 2025 as you may know i am a cat lover, foster, sitter, and volunteer. so there are endless cats i love, but these had my heart the most this year. 1. my actual child, Norman, and current foster Edie. 2. Neville Shortbottom, beautiful freak of nature owned by @brittany.and.the.beasts 3. Carl, our first foster of the year/Norm’s shadow 4. Binks, my neighbor’s kitten who is certifiably insane 5. Foxy, our second foster of the year, found on the Fox Studios lot 6. Swish, the chillest dude imaginable 7. Moosh, a chonk legend who left this world too soon, owned by @meggito 🖤 8. Avery, a feral cat i decided i would trick into loving me 9. Oatmeal, a cantankerous beauty owned by @kyry5 who spent approx $1mil treating her allergies this year 10. Flavor Flav himself (aka Cappuccino) 11. Tuna, glorious angel who has no control over his urethra 12. Raccoon Tail, goddess of twilight 13. Unknown Stray Cat who i found outside of our apartment, inspiring me to leave dry food out every night for two months, excited it was always gone in the morning. until i learned a possum had been the one eating it the whole time. that sums up this year, i think.

thank you for empowering me to be such a geek over the years. i owe you a lot.

2024 was a good year for me, and i am lucky. i did a whole lot in comparison to previous years. then yesterday, i learned that an old friend passed away unexpectedly, and i’m still processing it. i was always a bit jealous of how adventurous, smart, kind, and just downright that COOL he was. i’m so glad to have known him and i am carrying his spirit in my heart as this new year begins.

it is july and it is hot, which makes me miss when it was february and i was a viking in Copenhagen.

Free Palestine. people will try to tell you “both sides” and “it’s complicated” to obfuscate the truth, but it’s actually not complicated. innocent people are dying by tens of thousands and our government continues to arm the oppressor. folks shrug it off as “war” despite it being a one-sided barrage to decimate the people of Gaza in response to a terror attack. israel supporters will call you anti-semitic no matter what to scare you from speaking up, but unfortunately for them, i have done the research. there is nothing anti-semitic about supporting a free Palestine. don’t let the scare tactics work. i don’t support ethnostates. i don’t support apartheid. i don’t support genocide. see? pretty easy to say.
