North Carolina, you showed up BIG for children in foster care! 👏 Our Comfort Cases team hit the road and teamed up with our incredible partners at Blue Cross NC Healthy Blue to pack 300 Comfort Cases for children experiencing foster care across the state. Because every child deserves more than a trash bag, they deserve dignity, comfort, and hope. Tuesday afternoon on Teatime with Miss Liz, I sat with CEO Rob Scheer of Comfort Cases for one of the most raw and eye-opening conversations yet. A former foster child himself, Rob shared the trauma children feel when their belongings are handed to them in garbage bags. Through Comfort Cases, over 320,000 children have now received dignity, comfort, and hope. • SOLTERRA FOR GOOD • Honored to share my work to bring awareness and raise much needed funds for two organizations that do incredible work all over the world. @americares is a global health and disaster relief organization that helps people and communities around the world access health in times of disaster and every day. Their health programs and medical donations reach an average of 80 countries each year, including recently when my home country, the Philippines, was hit by a powerful typhoon. @comfortcases provides backpacks filled with personal care and comfort items to children entering the foster care system, aiming to replace the trash bags often used to transport their belongings. The organization provides dignity, comfort, and essentials like pajamas, blankets and hygiene kits to foster youth.
