👏 Comfort Etim was honoured at #FBLLiverpool for using football to create a safe and empowering space for asylum-seeking women in Liverpool.
🇳🇬 Born in Nigeria and arriving in the UK as a refugee, she went on to found Comfort’s Angels – a team and community built to help women feel seen, supported and at home through the game.
🙌 A powerful example of what football can do off the pitch.
We are delighted to announce Comfort Etim, founder of Comfort Angels, who has won a #Pioneer20 award by We Are The City and Visa!
The award celebrates the achievements of incredible contributions made by refugee women to their communities. Who have dedicated their lives to giving back and creating a positive change whilst demonstrating relisience, tenacity, and strength in the most challenging times.

Wednesday, we were at LFC Academy to play in LFC Foundations Women’s 5aside Tournament 🔴⚽️
