Desert X AlUla 2026 was a huge labour of love. We collaborated with an incredible team, and produced some iconic works. Mirath directed the project under the leadership of @comeanddo along with a group of incredibly passionate people from @pureobject.work @apex_arts_platform_experience @_desertx and the @rcu_ksa . We worked closely with the artists to realize their visions under the curatorial theme - Space without Measure. _Haraza Tree_ Inspired by the Haraza (Acacia) tree growing along the banks of the Nile, @ibrahimelsalahi explores the deep connection between humanity, nature, and time. A tree that stands leafless in rain, yet blossoms in drought. A symbol of resilience, transformation, and quiet strength. Through repetition and form, one tree becomes many — reflecting the many faces of human society, different in color and culture, yet sharing the same origin. As part of Desert X AlUla 2026, _Tar HyPar_ by @_hector_zamora_ APEX, in collaboration with @comeanddo , continues to support multiple site-specific art projects across AlUla. A site-specific sonic installation shaped by ancient geology, acoustic phenomena, and local cultural memory. Tar HyPar transforms the desert valley into a living instrument — where stone, wind, rhythm, and silence converge. Here, sound becomes architecture. Here, architecture becomes ritual.
