The three-day training camp, organised in partnership with Judo Australia and the Combat Institute of Australia alongside the Oceania Championships on 18–19 April, has wrapped up on an incredibly positive note 🙌🥋
Participation throughout the camp was outstanding, with athletes and delegations from Australia 🇦🇺, New Zealand 🇳🇿, New Caledonia 🇫🇷, Samoa 🇼🇸, Guam 🇬🇺, Fiji 🇫🇯 and Kiribati 🇰🇮 all coming together on the tatami 🌏
A fantastic atmosphere developed across the three days, creating a valuable opportunity for OJU member countries to connect, exchange ideas, and spend meaningful time training together 🤝🔥
We would also like to highlight the strong female participation throughout the camp 👏💪 This is an encouraging sign and offers very promising prospects for the future of judo in Oceania 🌺✨

With an incredible haul of international medals and years of experience at the highest levels of the sport including the Olympics and World Championships, these coaches are here with us. Team AUS walked away with 4 gold medals, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal across U17, U20 and Senior Men’s Freestyle.
Our Aussie judoka delivered a standout performance at the Tbilisi Grand Slam on the weekend, after a long international competition and training block 🥋
@eef_coughlan won her way into the gold medal contest, claiming silver and her 6th Grand Slam medal 🥈
@_m.swan_ finished Top 7 at a Grand Slam for the first time in her career! 👏
