𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒌 & 𝑺𝒂𝒄𝒌 A Walk with mihyun maria kim @singmariamaria 🗓️Saturday 9. May, 2026 🕛15:00-16:00 📍Outside entrance of KARLA @hausderstatistik , Karl-Marx-Allee 1, Berlin 🗣️English 🔗 Sign up to join via link in ReRouting’s bio. Reflecting on Korean tradition, this walk asks how do we carry the blessings of those before us, and the anticipation of warm greetings, through the fabric of a city on our daily walks? How do we move to take notice of the textures within a space and those around us?  Through six fragments of an hour, we will walk around a section of Haus der Statistik responding to prompts with gestures towards our own bodies, the space we take up, and the in/visible people around us. Read more about the walk and artist on our website. * This walk is organised as part of @hausderstatistik Ko-Markt, with @comakingmatters where mihyun maria kim has been resident since the start of 2026.

"the gestures of fragments" contemplates subtle movement and the accumulation of events that cause breakage, fractures, splitting, division, gathering, and safe keeping through material layers embedded with historic meaning for the individual and collective, and their relation to the untranslatable Korean affect, han. As a soft entry to introduce a yearlong project, while in response to the current temporal site of the Karla studio, things unfold as evidence of the materials my body could carry, thoughts unresolved, and methods quietly approaching a new place of conversation. Let things unpack, unfold, and accumulate with time . . . @comakingmatters @sellerie_weekend 2026 first iteration (site responsive - interior & exterior views) dis/placed raffia from Madagascar processed in India bought in Toronto carried by artist to Berlin hand braided on site around metal wire frosted in blue, collaged inkjet print of archived artist activation from 2023 with hanji (Korean mulberry paper) shipped from Seoul with Japanese Mingei Washi purchased at The Japanese Paper Place in Toronto, scrap wood cut in Korean traditional wave patterns reflecting the waning/waxing moon

"the gestures of fragments" (2026) contemplates subtle movement and the accumulation of events that cause breakage, fractures, splitting, division, gathering, and safe keeping through material layers embedded with historic meaning for the individual and collective, and their relation to the untranslatable Korean affect, han. Han is an untranslatable Korean affect word associated with unresolved grief, separated families and loss of collective identity, resulting in an accumulation of intergenerational trauma, which in the North American context has been sustained by suspended assimilation and dislocation/migration. Methods of exhausting the body, poetry, sound, movement, and installation of inherited and created objects are being applied in thinking through making of han. During the yearlong residency December 2025-2026 at co-making matters, these creative outputs will unfold for the public at different stages of making. In the first iterations for Sellerie Weekend 1-3 MAY 2026, explorations have been distilled into the body of works displayed. @sellerie_weekend Thanks to the continued working relation and dear friendship of Viviane Tabach, Founder and Director of Co-Making Matters, Berlin. @comakingmatters @vivianetabach This yearlong project has been generously funded by the Canada Council of Arts. I am so grateful for the support and opportunity to realize many aspects of ongoing research conducted between Toronto, Frankfurt and Berlin. @canada.council

✨ We have the honor of opening the Snoezelen Room — A Space for Rest & Resilience — this Saturday, 29.11, with a second screening of Olhar de Cícera! ✨ What is the Snoezelen Room? The Snoezelen Room is a fluffy space experiment — a soft, sensory place shaped by ambient music, cosy corners, poetry moments, Anthropocene reflections, and small resilience-building workshops. It’s a space where we rest together, play together, listen and retell. Warm bubble tea for chilly days. For everyone coming from the antifascist rally in Berlin or Gießen, there will be warm soup and tea waiting. ❤️‍🔥 As the Snoezelen Room unfolds at @offline.place , the program will reveal itself on site — bring time and spontaneity. We’re creating a place to soften in presence. Organized by: @polyphonic.dreems 29.11 — 2 PM 🎬 OPENING SCREENING: “Olhar de Cícera” (PT/ENG) maiz brasil invites you to watch @melinasoulz inspiring and nurturing documentary Olhar de Cícera: a powerful and intimate look into daily life and resistance in the MST’s Marielle Vive land camp in São Paulo. 🟥 What is the MST? The MST — Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra — is Brazil’s Landless Workers’ Movement, one of the largest social movements in Latin America. For over 40 years, they’ve organized rural families to reclaim unused land, fight for agrarian reform, and build communities rooted in collective work, education, food sovereignty, and dignity. The film offers a portrait of this hope rooted in the earth — showing how the struggle for Popular Agrarian Reform has transformed land and lives. @luciotelles activist & artist from Brazil, will open the screening and be present during the event. 🌱 Come rest, gather, and breathe. Where? Offline Place — Lichtenrader Str. 49, 12049 Berlin @acampamentomariellevivesp @olhardecicera #snoezelenroom #restasresilience #olhardecícera #mst #communitycare #resilience

Reimagining Ecological Landscapes - DAY 2 BEYOND PROPERTY: IMAGINING WITH THE EARTH | Film Screening Calls earth earth calls, directed by Raquel Versieux and Roberto Freitas (Brazil 2023, 31 min) The peasant community “Caldeirão da Santa Cruz do Deserto” once sheltered 5,000 people living in self-sufficiency and food sovereignty in the city of Crato, Brazil. It was violently massacred by the Brazilian State’s military forces in 1937. This event remains largely unclarified in the nation’s history, and its memory is the thread intertwining the voices of women living on and with the land in this region. Dona Ana, a member of the Landless Workers’ Movement (MST), and Silvanete Lermen, a healer and farmer cultivating ten hectares of agroforestry in the semi-arid region, weave together a film about women, faith, land conflicts, water, bodies, poetry, knowledge, memory, and possible collectivities. Do you hear the earth calling us? Quilombo, Continuum, directed by Juliana Streva (Brazil 2023, 24 min) Inspired by the poetics and politics of Beatriz Nascimento, Quilombo, Continuum traces the living pulse of quilombo as memory, movement, and worldmaking. Through a spiral temporality, the film journeys across the reactivation of quilombo legacies in the territory now called Brazil, where past and present fold into one another. Weaving the voices of Amefrican thinkers, artists, and activists, it listens to the Black Radical Tradition as it reimagines territory across time and space. Against the enduring myth of racial democracy, Quilombo, Continuum emerges as a counter-archive, an act of cinematic remembrance and reimagination of quilombo praxis today. Mãri hi - The Tree of Dream, directed by Morzaniel Ɨramari (Brazil 2023, 17min) After the creator planted the seeds of the dream tree, the tree grew, the flowers blossomed, and the forest dwellers began to dream. Even the dogs started to dream. Guided by the voice of Indigenous leader and great shaman Davi Kopenawa Yanomami, this hypnotic film guides us through the dreams of the Yanomami people. As the camera drifts through the Amazon rainforest, we come to understand their appreciation of the power of dreams.
