I could only have dreamed of this When I was a kid, I LOVED Dragon Ball Z
a lot of other kids thought it was weird but I didn’t care. I loved it. I would draw all of the characters and even make up my own. It was the beginning of my creative and imaginative side starting to take shape
What @coltonbachar did with this video is beyond anything I could have imagined back then. I certainly wasn’t thinking about being a DJ, but I was dreaming of doing good for the world just like the heroes of DBZ. I’ve witnessed Colton’s skills in video editing and design go to new heights over the years, but this was truly unbelievable. Just look at the details. 9000/10 job đŸ”„đŸ‰ #dbz #dragonball #anime

The Setup vs The Shot đŸŽ„ We had only 6min to capture this entire performance. I made the decision to run two A7sIII bodies with a wide lens and then my favorite, the 70-200. The rest of the setup and the settings I used are on-screen. The 🔗 to all the gear I use can be found on my profile đŸ«Ą Trying out some new content formats. The tools don’t matter. The methods don’t matter. The vision is everything. We’ve been having the same “Is it art?” debate for 200 years. Every time a new tool makes creation more accessible, the gatekeepers lose their marbles. But art isn’t about how much you suffered to make the piece; it’s about whether or not that piece makes someone feel something. It’s about the impact and the shared human experience. If you’re using AI to bring a deep, intentional vision to life, you aren’t “cheating.” You’re carrying out your vision. Stop asking for permission to use the new brush. Start focusing on the story you’re trying to tell. Which side are you on? #AIArt #DigitalArt #ArtDebate

The “Effort” Trap
Your client doesn’t pay for how many effects you can stack on a timeline. They pay for for a video that people actually want to watch. Most editors stay stuck at the $200 price point because they use transitions as a crutch for bad storytelling, and thus losing the viewers’ interest. If your edit doesn’t work with clean cuts, no amount of “glow” or “zoom” plugins will save it. High level editing ($3,500+) is about three things: 1. Intentionality: Every effect must have a “Why.” 2. Dynamic Pacing: Knowing when to be still so the movement actually matters. 3. Sequencing: Using the Wide/Med/Close formula to guide the viewer’s eye without them even realizing it. When you start editing with intention, instead of throwing effects at the wall and hoping something sticks, you will immediately begin attracting the clients with bigger budgets. Save this for the next time you’re tempted to hide a boring cut with a flashy transition. wrk to create, wrk to inspire #videoediting #creativebusiness #filmmaking

The fastest way to drown is to try and learn everything at once. You have 30+ job titles. You are the visionary, the accountant, and the janitor. But if you try to master all these jobs today, you will master zero. I see so many creatives suffering from “Information Fatigue”. You binge tutorials, feel productive, but never actually move the needle. The secret to significant growth is to slow down so you can speed up. Use the Action Loop: 1. Learn one thing 2. Take action 3. Analyze the results 4. Reflect on potential improvements 5. Adjust 6. And repeat Don’t start the next tutorial until you’ve executed the first one. That is how you build a career that lasts. If you’re interested in speeding up the learning process beyond this method, I’m launching my 1-on-1 program for January. Comment “WAITLIST” and I’ll send you the full program offer and pricing đŸ«Ą #creativeentrepreneur #freelancetips #businessgrowth #productivity #learntoedit

Don’t confuse movement with progress. I spent the last 60 days off the radar. No posting. No noise. Just a hard reset. S/O @zackkravits I was burning out over and over with no end in sight. I realized that if I wanted to be the best creative I can be, something had to give. So I made some big changes: 1. New Tools: Transitioned to DaVinci Resolve to elevate my visual standard and wrkflows. 2. New Systems: Removed the friction from my daily workflow using Notion and Gemini so I can focus on the craft. 3. New Mindset: Prioritizing sustainability. Healthy comes first. Always. I’m documenting the entire rebuild here. If you feel like you’re working hard but staying in the same place, it’s time for an audit. Comment “waitlist” if you want me to do your audit for you. I’m taking 1-on-1’s for this January. #CreativeSystems #DaVinciResolve #FreelanceTips #2026Goals #Filmmaking
